McCarthy was right but led astray by his own ego and commies themselves being very good at deception. Declassified docs from after the USSR fell show how much infiltration there was in the west and how many targets McCarthy correctly identified, but he also got a bunch of things wrong and the commies were happy to use that to sow confusion and use his failures to discredit anyone who would look for their infiltration.

There are people who believe the events of January 6, 2021 on the Capitol Hill were part of some kind of entrapment scheme due to how strange and pointless it all was in the grand scheme of things. I bet their going to have some fun seeing all of this footage coming out.
