I'm genuinely confused. Do people usually easily recognize what they actually look like and can recognize people who look like them?

I think he genuinely doesn't know what he looks like. It would fit with the eating disorder if he had body dysmorphia. Inherently, wanting to transition means having a warped perception of your body. It wouldn't surprise me if Dylan's idea of how he looks doesn't match up at all with anyone else's.

He also wouldn't be the first tranny to have dysmorphia: Philosophy Tube has a history of not knowing what his face looks like (example one) (example two). The first example is particularly egregious because it was before he transitioned, so it isn't even a cope about how his transition turned out.

I've always found it odd, i've had people say I look like VERY different people, from eachother let alone whether they look like me. Typically people hyper focus on 1 or 2 specific features and thats the comparison point and why they see a similarity, rather than say an overall impression.
I can kind of say where the similarities could lie (hairline and maybe nose bridge post surgery?), but in totality he doesnt look anything like her imo

Mary Tyler Moore is spinning in her grave. Dylan Mulvaney is worse than a drag queen b/c at least those bitches have to have talent. Dylan is talented, but he can only really dance and sing, hence why he chose this route to fame. last time i watched RuPaul i believe he expected a lot more, like sewing, being actually funny, makeup, singing, dancing and acting. like...Dyl, you are a walking caricature of everything wrong with this current culture.
