On old obscure conspiracy forums I frequent, r/conspiracy gets brought up often enough. It puzzles so many old tinfoil fags like myself why anyone would give any credibility to a state operated conspiracy website. Then again, people believe government reports on themselves, so fuck it.

I think it's a way to safeguard the status quo by giving people a "authorized outlet" to be conspiratorial in a way that gives the illusion of rebellion without actually being a danger to powers that be.

That's the only good thing about troons. I actually had a bit of a revelation today while browsing r/trueoffmychest and reading some faggots whining about experiencing depression. I read through their post histories, saw how they treated other people and it all clicked.

It's something everyone's favorite curmudgeon Slavoj Zizek noted when discussing those who rebel against neoliberal capitalism but still participate in it, as well as political correctness in general: Inter-passivity. He argued that with Political correctness (which he described as another form of self-discipline that doesn't allow one to overcome racism, misogyny, etc), it's the perfect method of stopping revolution in it's tracks because, in his words, it's basically the formula of "trying to change something all the time so that globally, things stay the same" Wisecrack uses that when discussing the 19th season of South Park back in 2016.

I suspect the same dynamic is at play with the subreddit.

I've seen this rhetoric play out over and over and over. And it rubs me the wrong way every time.

1. People never vote for the corruption, the scandals, the failed policy. They vote for the promise that everything will be great.

2. It assumes an Ohioan Hivemind, and that everyone living there voted for Trump and deserves the "punishment". Unless, of course, you believe that the democrat voters were spared breathing in the chemicals.

If I'm remembering correctly this was either the genesis or major exodus to terfy alternatives like Ovarit. Like many webforums places like TwoX or lesbian subreddits eventually found trannyjannies on staff and they did their long march like they always do. Eventually prohibitions on outright hate-speech turned into accusations of prohibition being transphobic. I think there was even a poll or two where it was made abundantly clear the vast majority of users did not want trannies. Funny enough the TJ's used that as evidence of rampant transphobia that meant they had reason to unilaterally let their ilk in.

Kind of like a dam failure, a tiny trickle turns into a flood. Anyone critiquing the decision or voicing their opposition were banned with a quickness. If you only look at numbers and not content, it's easy to miss them in the incoming flood of terminally online AGPs. Once it was clear they had a pattern that worked the TJ's began moving on other subreddits. Strangely enough, porn subreddits proved hilariously resilient to the same tactics.

That was exactly the modis operandi that destroyed the subreddit that I was a part of years back. Brute force attack from the  opressed opressive minority. Except that it was long enough ago that it was a run-of-the-mill pReddit Faggot and not a troon, they were a lot fewer in numbers back then.

I havent even seen a single interview with them. It really appears they failed him. Their 15 year old was pretending to be a girl, bragging on social media about doing coke, posting sexually explicit photos, and interacting with strange men online, and they DONT fucking see a problem with any of this?
