I would imagine that needing oxygen would be a bit of an impediment to flying, no? Aside from the lack of power on the plane, I don't think airlines are in the habit of letting you take pressurised oxygen cylinders into the cabin.

She could maybe fake a doctor's note but these machines are pretty expensive. Pic is new, but even refurbished and used ones go for quite a bit. Not out of her reach expensive, but enough to be a burden just to prolong a LARP.

  • It's a miracle guys! She's still alive and she is sleepy and more coherent.
    • And they are trying to discharge her, but they do not want this.
  • Once again confirmation that Chelsea WAS dropped by all her doctors.
    • Hospital said they would find a pcp.
      • Hospital made a 180 and said nope on your guys now!
    • They can't get a placement without a pcp.
    • They can't get pain management without a pcp.
    • Chelsea is bedbound so can't go to appointments. But she still wants her pain meds!
  • Nursing homes have PCP, but no RNs for Chelsea's 24/7 butt wiping.
    • They also refuse her because of age, having a tube and her hickman.
      • The age thing is definitely bullshit I work with clients who are under age and housed in nursing homes due to their medical needs. None have a hickman though one has a feeding tube.
  • They also said they can place her now in a place in the metro.
    • They don't want that cause it isolates Chelsea.
  • Hospital seems to be tired of being shot down by everything they say.
    • The hospital told her mom to take her home and they would give them waiver's for care.
      • Mom said no one gives care in her area.
        • This is wrong no one will give Chelsea care because they caught her fraud and pulled services.
        • There would still be no pcp or pain.
  • They have gone to a different hospital then the other two. It is possible this hospital has now caught on.
    • "That being said if no placement accepts her what is the hospital’s legal obligation and can they legally just kick her out? I don’t know. I know other hospitals have sent her home in similar situations. In fact, Chelsea has been in nearly identical situations before and it’s always spelt disaster. "

I find that to be pretty telling. Mama Bear probably wouldnt be able to commute constantly to wipe Chealsea and enable this absolute lunacy. Can't say I'm upset, I really like her willful defiance. I've said it before, but I'll say it again. She lives less than one hour from a world-class facility that specializes in her exact problem.

IIRC, She did go to Mayo, and that's where she got the FND diagnosis. She initially embraced the diagnosis, until she got a clue and realized that it meant it was all in her head. She also didn't like that Mayo retests everything. That would have destroyed her carefully curated test results that slightly point towards the diagnoses of her choice.
