Sometimes I am astounded by how stupid Chantal is. Yeah give the cat to some random beezer, there's no way somebody else is trying to manipulate you. Her stupidity sometimes makes me feel naive. Ottawa police are not wasting their time on this, especially with Chantal's previous nuisance calls, and the fact that she didn't even give the cat to the person she's mad about.

Animal protection is kind of a joke. The police don't have resources to go after cases like this, just like they wouldn't do much if someone stole a bike off your porch. Now if a bunch of cats or bikes were stolen all at once, they might put more effort into it. But again, Chantal freely gave a cat to someone who isn't even FFG. There's no crime. If she wanted a 24 hour backout clause, she should have gotten paperwork that said so.

I can only see this type of thing being investigated if it's part of a larger ongoing case... which also would not work in Chantal's favor.

The funniest thing about this is you know Chantal only didn't give BBJ to that old cat sanctuary because she wouldn't be able to control who they let adopt her, ie FFG. But they could very well have done due diligence and seen the drama and chosen a better home for BBJ. Chantal done played herself yet again.
