All discussion of the candidates, updates and results should go here

For example- here's a video of Ted Cruz vying for world domination.

Also Hilary Clinton is a crook and nobody should have sex with her.

Discuss

(Note- The title will change as we get nearer the election, previous titles will be archived in the OP)

Personally, judging by the previous warmongering tendencies of the First Woman President™ and her highly aggressive stance against Russia, I really hope she won't start or provoke a war until after I graduate from university. I want to have some fun in this life before dying in nuclear fire. :c
Hillary's not particularily warmongery.

Not out of principle. She's just cowardly and cynical. She snuffed out a planned intervention in the Balkans to advance her healthcare plans; which failed miserably, and an intervention happened later on anyway with the only difference being the loss of several tens of thousands of civilians and tens more thousands of rapes conducted by Milošević acolytes; then in '08 she pretended both that she supported intervention all along and lied about being under sniper fire.

Then there's Iraq, on which she has a record that's both horrendous and one which should disgust people on both sides of the war's debate.

First, there was the Gulf War, which most Democrats in the House and Senate voted against. This caused most of the serious Democrat Nominee contenders to deliberately avoid running in '92 due to Bush's post-war popularity. The Clintons weren't in the Legislature, so they didn't have to vote, which eventually led to their victory. Along these lines of thinking, Hillary voted for the next Iraq War while Senator thinking it'd be as easy as it was in the early 90s. But governing is a hell of a lot harder than conquering; the war dragged on and became unpopular with Democrats. Hillary then decided, as a means of attacking Obama from the Left, that she should vote against the Troop Surge in '07. Turns out, the Surge actually worked pretty well. But none of it mattered, because Hillary wanted to score political points with anti-war voters. As a result, under her tenure, she took a boxcutter to the throat of several vital programs to Iraqi security -- including diplomatic presence and law-enforcement training -- as a means of quickening US withdrawl and thus strengthening her position as a peace candidate.

This'll sound hyperbolic, but I'll say it anyway. I'm even sure @Katsu, @AnOminous, and @Eye-Dub will all agree with me at once: Hillary Clinton has the worst record on Iraq of any politician in any party in the country. No voter concerned with principles on either side should even consider giving this woman any degree of power above access to safety scissors, and now she's the only human being in the country with a serious chance at preventing Papa Fred's spoiled-rotten spawn from gaining access to ICBMs.

Christ, I need to pray more.

I'm going to the Trump Inauguaration.

Its 500 degree Bahamian weather going on and if this shit happens, I will be making my beloved Winter dream trip coincide with this.

Gonna see Magfest.
The Trump Tower.
The Ariondacks.
The Winter Olympics sites.
Finding the soul I left frozen in it, just as America starts to become Great Again.

So,are you guys moving to Canada now?
Nah. Too many refugees.

I'm aiming for a road less traveled. My Spanish is pretty decent, and my features are very Anglo. I'm thinking Asuncion or Montevideo. But I'm open to recommendations, and am happy to try my tung at Portuguese or French or whatever other language they speak in countries where crazy people don't have access to nuclear weapons.

Fuck it, go nuts.

At least you'll be happy before the country collapses into civil war.

I console myself by sleeping with Marco Rubio's wife.

It's great! He just sits in a corner and, every now-n-then, steps out for bottled water.
What, he doesn't bring you snacks? You gotta kick him a few times to make him go, but he makes some good nachos.
alright guys this whole 'united states' thing has been a bust, let's pack it up and call England to take us back.
Together we can leave Europe as brothers!

Did you hoes think there would be a different outcome? You all knew she would clinch the nomination since the Primaries started. Also, what works in the Primaries don't work in the general. People tend to forget you never put candidates on a pedestal. It sets you up for disappointment. You fucks are just like people who want to move to Canada because of Trump. Meanwhile refugees are running to this country just to get their life together. Never bank on the Election and your tax returns. You can leave your hugboxes now.

Regardless of who we get our new president will suck ass, but it's not the end of the world. As I said before, people forget that the President of the United States isn't an almighty dictator. We live in a democracy, not some third-world hellhole where the corruption present in the legal and political systems makes our politicians look like fucking Girl Scouts. Maybe I'm just naive, but I can't imagine a scenario where Clinton or Trump manage to start a nuclear holocaust, especially after we seemed to snap out of nuclear hysteria after the Cold War ended.

I mean, I absolutely hate the idea of Clinton or Trump being president, but it's not doomsday. And even if it is, so what? I'm not going to spend my life freaking out about what might happen. And I have a small- a very small- hope that maybe, just maybe this shitshow of an election will open people's eyes to how broken the political system is. At least Obama and Romney were both pretty popular in political circles all things considered, whereas I've seen nothing but loathing for Trump and Hillary.

This is more appropriate than ever before:

The one and only good thing about this election is that Trey and Matt are going to have an absolute fucking field day with it. Seriously, I can easily see the entire season revolving around the election. Maybe we'll even get a follow up to Douche vs. Turd!

I just looked it up, and season 20 will premiere on September 14. That's definitely prime election season.

FWIW, if Trump gets elected I'd wager it'll be his VP that'll wind up running things. Not too sure about Hillary though.

Trump being hated by political circles is part of his appeal though, since the average person hates the majority of people in politics. Hillary on the other hand... I'm not even sure who supports Hillary or why. People who thought Obama's been doing a great job? People who just want a woman to be president and don't care who she is?
