There's no way they can hide him until August, and they know that, and I don't see them wasting resources on that scale in a doomed situation like that. If there are shenanigans afoot, its "He's mentally incapable of serving now, but maybe we can fix him before we run out of time" type hail mary plays, especially if he's just vegetative right now. There's too many interests afoot and too much money sloshing around to not have someone crack and spill the details after a while, but maybe they're hoping some good treatment and drugs bring him back to the verge of lucid.

That being said, it would be fucking hilarious for them to try and actually ghost everyone for that long. Especially if he really is already fully braindead. Or hell, even with medical intervention, vegetative states tend to lead to death within the first few months. Imagine covering up pretending he's fine and then "Actually he died of traumatic organ failure after being on life support the last two months". How do you even begin to prosecute that sort of bullshit?

What crime, exactly, would that be?

"Lying to the public" isn't a crime. "Lying so the LITERAL NAZIS can't STEAL A SEAT" isn't a crime.

"They tried their best to keep the poor elected official alive while respecting the wishes of his poor widow and keeping his dignity intact while he was valiantly struggling for his health." isn't a crime.

Which is it govenor or special election. Twitter saying it's governor & nothing to see here. Only thing I think it make people autistic about is if regular election counts as 2024 or 2023. I believe it's 2024 early election .

Given how flagrant and open election fraud is now, they could roll out Fetterman's moldering corpse, do the Monty Python skit with the dead parrot, and continue to deny he's dead until 2028 with zero consequences.

Petterson had some good takes and ideas before he got hooked on benzos and later one just went schizo. He still puts some good stuff out but better to always take it all with a grain of salt.

It is immensely amusing to me how he has gone down so badly, but some of the people who hate him on the woke side of the culture war cringe manage to always one up him. He will have a little tantrum over the "petty tyranny" of stickers telling people to use less paper towels, and then some twitter leftie comes out of the woodwork to one-up him by comparing not liking those stickers to being the same as nazism.
