It's that "person A is out of their element so person B needs to teach them how things work" plot. She does housework for him, get's a job, they go on a date, he falls in love with her but she leaves back to the mountains for her training, she comes back and now needs to be trained on how to be a good wife, happily ever after. Short anime story with not too many H-Scenes.

The natural growth of such a site, and arguably GOG is right to ignore the screeching of their "fans". I remember when GOG fans were screaming bloody murder because they added some old games that fell outside of a small handful of 90s PC classics fanboys gush over. Look at some of the one star reviews of Conflict: Desert Storm.
Terrible game. Awful game. Pointless release, and simply another step in the expanding downward spiral of allowing rubbish to clutter our beloved GOG. This game doesn't even deserve the time it would take me to write a negative review of it. It is that bad. What is going on with GOG?

I find DoL oddly charming, once you get past the fact it's basically SimRotherham. No matter what horrifying things happen to your character, it's nothing a few days of cuddles, a few pills, or at worst, a week or two at the asylum won't fix! Wildly unrealistic, of course, and no doubt offensive to people who have suffered trauma, but the odd, Little-Orphan-Annie vibe is strangely compelling.
LT, like a lot of H-games, treats having children in such a strange, weightless, clinical way, I find it in some ways more disturbing than games that feature (or focus on) parent-child relationships; the incest stuff is pretty fucked up, but at least there's some genuine emotional connection there.

The gist of it is the industry hasn't really changed from the days of 2014, when games like Rogue-Like were passed around imageboards and patreon was only just starting up. She does point out games like Something Unlimited that started off with ideas but now slowly drip-fed "content" and have completely neglected the "Game" side of adult games.
I agree with this but I'm kind of interested in how the anime tiddie games come into things. Take Mystic Survivors for instance which is a Vampire Survivors clone, focuses more on the game play but also has Sierra's complaints about not actually forming a connection with any of the girls featured in it.
I guess it's the juxtaposition again, of wanting that connection with the player through characters but it's ultimately disposable porn.
She has become a little cynical but going over her previous posts, she's released an audiobook, another actual novel, a TLS update and 2 updates to complete a game in EA on steam all in the space of seven weeks. She clearly has the creative drive to actually create things still, even if she's jaded with how the adult game market is.

To make up for it, he promised to release a smaller Christmas themed update for Christmas/New Year's and it should be released early January latest. It's February and there's still nothing. Rightfully so, people are giving him shit about the game being stuck in development hell.
Well, right on cue, Fagzone is shitting up the games thread, bitching about being gifted and moralfagging about how they're glad they aren't paying for Komisari's Patreon. 3/4 pages of the exact same shit with the occasional post from the dev apologizing doesn't seem to clue people in that continuing to post exactly what's already been said isn't helping. The thing is it's kinda weird they'd focus on Sierra. That scene with Simon and the prostitute with Aka looking on is infact something negative, it's not optimal to get that scene because of the negative relationship points it causes. They also view TLS as a man-sharing game with the cuckqueen fetish which is technically true but I've always thought of it as kind of anime-isekaiesk in terms of what it is. Simon growing in power level, recruit the girls and help them through their problems, try and save the world from going into one extreme. They focus on like 5 sex scenes in a game with 120 because it matches their fetish, yet ignore even the game itself because they may not like it and just want the scenes. These fags would be in Fagzone threads asking for saves to get to the porn quicker.
I dunno, maybe I just don't get it. It just seems like this niche fetish community is upset because a side project that Sierra worked on isn't to their taste.
Edit: On the subject of Once Ever After, Sierra did a right-up (warning porn banners, blame kemono.party) later saying the game made back it's money but is not as highly reviewed nor a better ROI as some of the other games she's put out.

Degrees of Lewdity is a survival horror game set in Britain (ew) and all of these are like, dollar a dozen text games with maybe 15 minutes of actual novel content.

Finally tried out a house in the rift. It's kinda bad, a barebones sandbox with decent animations but absolutely no connection to the characters. I'd skip it. I tried out Corrupted Kingdoms instead and actually enjoyed that one and I think it has to do with an overarching plot to pull the player through. Act 2 is the biggest section of the game currently and is completed if you want to give it a try, opens up a bit more when you can wander around the city.
The Twist was also abandoned completed, they just called 0.52 1.0 and called it a day. 7 years, hundreds of thousands of dollars and this is the end result.

Yeah, Rance IX is out. Mangagamer has Rance X in translation so the entire series will be translated into English soon. The creator actually came out of retirement to help with a patch for Rance IV on modern systems.
Other things I noticed:
- Lab Rats 2 has been abandoned. Vran hasn't appeared since October of last year and if I remember he might be russian. I vaguely recall some post years ago discussing his origins on the first lab rats and someone said he posted on some other russian forums up there. Maybe he died in ukraine, maybe he's just simply ghosting, don't know.
- Roundscape Adorevia is getting a gold patch sometime. I don't really care for this one, furries, futa and horse cocks.
