Chantal has said a few times Salah will be giving her a new and much BETTER ring when she returns. Obviously an excuse when she doesn't have the same ring when she goes back. It was most likely returned or pawned.Yeah I just wondered if she addressed it. She's used the ring itself as proof that she's married, when her chat becomes skeptical.
I have been wondering why Chantal was in such a hurry to convert before she left Kuwait. She knew she was returning to Kuwait in a month, so it's not like she didn't have time to do it later. It didn't seem like a matter of her faith or pressure from Salah. I thought maybe it was so they could have a "real" Muslim marriage and seal the deal right before she left the country (to ensure his commitment). But then I remembered she still couldn't do that under a tourist visa, unless Kuwait is one of those places where people routinely bribe officials to smooth the way.
I'm still puzzled that she went through the official process. Chantal doesn't go to effort for anything or anyone without direct benefit to herself. She didn't have to do it to marry him. They were already married. (From her perspective.) Any cultural pressure that may exist would mean nothing to her. What would motivate someone who is as lazy and unfocused as she is, who hates authority as much as she does, to get up off the couch, wash her face, go over there, and vow before a religious figure to adhere to a faith she knows very little about, and the parts she does know about, she honors only when convenient?
All I can come up with is it's another brick in the pile she plans to drop on his head if/when he tries to leave her. ("Look at everything I've done for you!" Money, relocating, religion, cats, etc.)
My other thought is she did it to ingratiate herself to his family. But that seems unlikely.
Anyone have any plausible theories?
Plus, she really, really, really doesn't want to take off her head spanx and reveal her extra chins and patchy hair.I suspect she was just doubling down on her Perfect Muslim Wifey Cosplay.
A bit late, but the thread is moving fast. This theory has been brought up a few times both here and by people in her chat. The answer is of course inconclusive. Even though Shannon and Peetz maintain she had one abortion, they're relying on Gunt's word. Neither of them indicated they were with her to physically see any evidence.Canadians out there:
Am I late, or did Chantal lift her abortion sob story straight from the first season of the original "Degrassi High?"
That whole first season focused heavily on a girl (and her sister) crying and regretting an abortion.
I could be overthinking. But...I have an ick feeling this is where she got this story from.
She'd also be too lazy and impulsive to keep up a charade like that, just like she couldn't keep up any charade of dieting. She could have kept her gluttony and binging off camera for even a little while longer, but no. The best she did was lying about the grape fast and water fast. Both lasted a few hours, at most, but she pretended that they lasted for a few days.like no one would ask questions as to why the neclected green screen suddenly came to be of use?
c'mon... LOL
Except you don't go through Customs and Immigration when you're departing a country, only when you're entering it. If you're referring to what could happen when she returns to Kuwait, she could simply put the ring in her carry-on luggage. No need to wear it if she thinks it would arouse suspicion. The ring - she’s an unreliable blithering idiot & Kuwaiti Customs and Immigration might express more interest in a bloated white hijabi wearing a clearly ME style ring. Any close questioning and she’d be nervously blithering within a minute. “Married? Where’s your husband? Marriage certificate please.”
It would all fall apart in half an hour.
Weak theory but it’s all I’ve got.
Honestly, it’s all Chantal thinking that she has to do what needs to be done to make herself look good. Also, Chantal basically goes to top speed with zero provocation so marriage was on the mind as soon as she needed a reason to stay in Kuwait.I have been wondering why Chantal was in such a hurry to convert before she left Kuwait. She knew she was returning to Kuwait in a month, so it's not like she didn't have time to do it later. It didn't seem like a matter of her faith or pressure from Salah. What I'm surprised no one ever asked her is why she hasn't even so much as thought of changing her last name if she believes they're really married. I know that Muslim wives don't take the husband's name, but that's surely one of the rules she'd break. The first thing she did was change her name on IG to Al Refae. It's still there, so anything she'd claim about it being haram is clearly bullshit.Did anyone ever ask her why Salah didn't just mail her wedding ring to her so she could have it while she's in Canada?
In islam, you don't take your husband's surname... Its actually banned as you aren't bloodWhat I'm surprised no one ever asked her is why she hasn't even so much as thought of changing her last name if she believes they're really married. Chantal has dreamed of having a man's last name since she was a teenager. She daydreamed of being an Elshamy, bought her own engagement rings at least twice. I'm sure her new planners are covered in "Chantal Marie Olive Al Refae" in cursive.
Surely she'd be super excited to make the marriage even more official by changing her name. It's probably one of the few things she'd do while back in Canada. But she never even mentioned it.
To me, this shows that she knows she's not actually married. That, or she thinks that her name automatically changed as soon as the Misyar dude said his prayer or whatever.
I’m not so sure. If he keeps his public platform he’ll be fighting the internet to go back to her. Back in the day when he had no online presence other than twitter 2018, he tweeted about his ex that wanted him to share house again and he thought it was probably a bad idea. He was right of course, but he didn’t have the following, let alone the following with the Chantal knowledge to talk him down off the ledge when the time actually came. Next time he will. I suspect he may also have a bankruptcy (courtesy of his almost three years in the villa that they just left trashed) to remind him that allowing himself to get caught up with her again is not a good move.First half is right maybe. But Peetz will always defend her.
No matter the fuck-up, no matter how long, she could come back in 10 years and say "want to move in with me again"? He would in an instant, the spineless cuck that Peetz is.
She will never understand or realize anything, because its Peetz and Gunt.
They did. She said the cost and time to send it wasn’t worth the effort given she would be back in Kuwait so soon.Did anyone ever ask her why Salah didn't just mail her wedding ring to her so she could have it while she's in Canada?
I lived in a climate like that until recently and can guarantee that there is NFW a single AC unit can do that, even in a shoe box. We had 5 split system ACs in our 3 bedroom, and in summer still lived in the pool because the house was too hot…and you don’t want to know what our electricity bill was like.Kuwait must seem really temperate when you go in the dead of winter but it'll be really interesting to see what happens when a cool day is 101 Fahrenheit in the shade. Will a wall unit be able to keep an apartment under 80? Doubtful.
It's probably Salad's thumb ring for when he's hanging around whatever passes as an underground gay scene in Kuwait .It's speculated that the ring was just borrowed from Alaa so Chantal and Salad could LARP as being married
It absolutely is.unless Kuwait is one of those places where people routinely bribe officials to smooth the way.
Again, I’m not sure if either of the two have nearly enough to bribe an official. It absolutely is.
I think you answered your own question. If she’s done it on social media and reaped the emotional reward of how it presents there, it’s enough. She doesn’t put time or effort into doing anything in real life if she doesn’t have to.What I'm surprised no one ever asked her is why she hasn't even so much as thought of changing her last name if she believes they're really married.
