I have been wondering why Chantal was in such a hurry to convert before she left Kuwait.

I suspect she was just doubling down on her Perfect Muslim Wifey Cosplay.

I have been wondering why Chantal was in such a hurry to convert before she left Kuwait. She knew she was returning to Kuwait in a month, so it's not like she didn't have time to do it later. It didn't seem like a matter of her faith or pressure from Salah. I thought maybe it was so they could have a "real" Muslim marriage and seal the deal right before she left the country (to ensure his commitment). But then I remembered she still couldn't do that under a tourist visa, unless Kuwait is one of those places where people routinely bribe officials to smooth the way.

I'm still puzzled that she went through the official process. Chantal doesn't go to effort for anything or anyone without direct benefit to herself. She didn't have to do it to marry him. They were already married. (From her perspective.) Any cultural pressure that may exist would mean nothing to her. What would motivate someone who is as lazy and unfocused as she is, who hates authority as much as she does, to get up off the couch, wash her face, go over there, and vow before a religious figure to adhere to a faith she knows very little about, and the parts she does know about, she honors only when convenient?

All I can come up with is it's another brick in the pile she plans to drop on his head if/when he tries to leave her. ("Look at everything I've done for you!" Money, relocating, religion, cats, etc.)

My other thought is she did it to ingratiate herself to his family. But that seems unlikely.

Anyone have any plausible theories?

A bit late, but the thread is moving fast. This theory has been brought up a few times both here and by people in her chat. The answer is of course inconclusive. Even though Shannon and Peetz maintain she had one abortion, they're relying on Gunt's word. Neither of them indicated they were with her to physically see any evidence.

Except you don't go through Customs and Immigration when you're departing a country, only when you're entering it. If you're referring to what could happen when she returns to Kuwait, she could simply put the ring in her carry-on luggage. No need to wear it if she thinks it would arouse suspicion.

Chantal loves that ring and what it symbolizes. Her hot young man chose her. She won. That's why she was constantly flashing it onscreen. Besides, the ring was wedged onto her fingers so tightly it had to be a monumental effort to remove it. She would remember that.

She deliberately left the ring in Kuwait. I don't know why, and I'm unwilling to speculate. But her claim that she "forgot" it is a bald-faced lie. As usual.

Converting to Islam, for Gunt-like most things-was practical and not out of any religious convictions.

Her Syrian love is Muslim. I don’t think he cares, but he asked her to put on hijab to see if she would, and dhe did. He’s in control. And she likes it! Honestly, it’s all Chantal thinking that she has to do what needs to be done to make herself look good. Also, Chantal basically goes to top speed with zero provocation so marriage was on the mind as soon as she needed a reason to stay in Kuwait.

For the marriage itself, I think there was a TikTok ITT that showed Chantal saying her conversion was more of “a cultural thing” because I guess she thinks she can’t stay in the country for long if she doesn’t. As for the “real marriage” I think it was said Salah is trying to turn his temporary Muslim marriage (forgot the full name and what it entails to Islam), to a proper marriage via the court system in order to bring everything above water because I guess that not even he could bring himself to do a full wedding (if only because nobody would probably come or approve).

As for bribes, I’m not sure if Kuwait is known for corruption, but I doubt either of them will have enough for a decent bride, but “decent” could be relative depending on who’s being bribed .

Kuwait must seem really temperate when you go in the dead of winter but it'll be really interesting to see what happens when a cool day is 101 Fahrenheit in the shade. Will a wall unit be able to keep an apartment under 80? Doubtful.

I lived in a climate like that until recently and can guarantee that there is NFW a single AC unit can do that, even in a shoe box. We had 5 split system ACs in our 3 bedroom, and in summer still lived in the pool because the house was too hot…and you don’t want to know what our electricity bill was like.

I think you answered your own question. If she’s done it on social media and reaped the emotional reward of how it presents there, it’s enough. She doesn’t put time or effort into doing anything in real life if she doesn’t have to.

We know she cannot get married without a civil ID. Without multiple people committing fraud in front of a YouTube audience, she will not be able to get a civil ID.
There’s no point in debating whether the whores agreement is a marriage contract. It is not.

Murad stated (assuming translations are correct) that they would find out March 1st if they would get a legally recognized marriage from the 6 day whores marriage.
