I know you're making a joke, but internet "influencers", especially ones who base their online presences on social commentary, have become to millennials and zoomers what Walter Cronkite and similar "storied" news anchors/journalists were to baby boomers and "edgy" comedians were to Gen Xers: nigh-unquestionable sources of authoritative truth that you can trust because "they're just like you and me". Except it's even worse now because of the internet's way of forming echo chambers, parasocial relationships, and the like.
This just reminds me of when western Twitter harassed a Japanese artist off of the platform for not making Nessa from Pokemon black enough.

You can trace the sudden increase in faggotry over social media in general to three things:
1. The (largely astroturfed) rise of Breadtube and left-wing video essayists to counter to "alt-right".
2. The porn ban on Tumblr, and the massive containment breach that ensued, with most the Tumblrites migrating to Twitter.
3. The common interests and significant overlap in character between the invasive Tumblrites and the moderation staff of social media (like pre-Elon Musk Twitter), which is heavily correlated with social media moderation increasingly being heavily biased towards left-wing, Marxist/socialistic, and/or "globohomo" socio-political positions.
These three things are the reason why Twitter has basically just been Tumblr 2.0 ever since 2019 or so.

Everyone rushed to aid the trans community saying that it was a terrible thing but that it doesn't represent all trans people.
Every troon is emotionally charged and manipulates other people based on their perceived "oppression" as a sexual minority. If harassing a person off the internet for even entertaining the idea of playing a video game because you think it will cause genocide isn't a mental illness then I don't know what is.
Millennials and zoomers on Twitter and other forms of social media seem incredibly hypersensitive to troon feelings, and I can only ascribe that to a mental framework that prioritizes "agreeability/niceness" over factual information with regards to someone's sexual proclivities/degeneracies "as long as it's between consenting adults" or "as long as it doesn't affect me or others". It must be something to due with modern American "education". None of them are willing to just straight-up say that "self-identification is not inherently valid, you're just a man pretending to be a woman, go get mental health treatment now."

The only people seriously, 100% pissed about this are the people who have been personally affected by troon lunacy like JKR, who just wanted to run a women's shelter. The numbers of the disaffected are growing due to the overabundance of troonshine and troon 1984 terror, but is it enough to reach critical mass? I don't know.
The actual number of troons in the world is barely even 0.1% of the global population, yet they have outsized influence in Western (social) media and entertainment industry affairs.
Just 10% of the population in any given area is enough to effect significant changes over the remaining 90%, and I'm pretty sure a bit more than 10% of the American millennial and zoomer demographic alone is critical of troons at this point.
I think the issue here is that troons aren't necessarily any one condition and not all of them actually have gender dysphoria. I think it's more of a social contagion that's spread by troons finding and exploiting vulnerable people who may have other mental health or neurological issues by convincing them that their problems are all because they're actually trans.
This has been the case for many of the detransitioners I've read about, at least. It's a multifaceted problem.
Null himself described the troon movement as a giant "rat king" of socio-political and corporate interests, with the two main poles being the interlinked concepts of "gender studies" and "queer studies", and the monetary forces of pharmaceutical companies capitalizing on the troon's need for more pills to consoom in order to "maintain" their gender identity.
