This made me google the dude DSP is replying to. I like DSP, the valedictorian of his 50 person class with his bachelors in -- what was it, marketing? As we all know phil just parrots the blue checkmark zeitgeist in terms of belief systems. One of the funnier holdovers being the orthodox view of overpopulation (ie we have to drastically reduce the population of everybody everywhere, with no regard to quality, otherwise we'll be swimming in bodies soylent green style within a few decades) popularized in the 60s and people still teach and blindly regurgitate even though its been achingly obvious how far off base its been for decades.

Its probably a good thing he doesn't want to reproduce though.

Well yeah, he's clearly misunderstanding the data but that's less concerning than him misunderstanding everything else as well. There is no data that would make his post right, or make it make sense. Not speaking and just shutting up is good advice for Phil overall, no matter the topic. It's a strong indictment to his character that he hasn't learned this lesson in his 40 years of life, being consistently wrong on almost everything he says, and is still of the opinion that he has to contribute something worthwhile in general discussions.
