Russian Special Military Operation in the Ukraine - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

So the EU is switching from a peacetime to wartime economy during a period of global inflation. Wow.
With shortage of manpower and energy on top who went like this and ended up cucked and fucked by hmmm one country started with g another with j
Here we see superstitious Czech peasants engaging in a magic ritual designed to rob Russia of it's power and transfer it to Ukraine. Note the seriousness in all their faces, this is no farce, it's SERIOUS BUSINESS.

Bros, why are they like that? Look at those stunning and brave intellectuals, lmao. Bunch of childless old women who reek of cat piss, a few pederasts who were hoping there would be more children in attendance, and followed by a couple of impotent seniors who last had an erection when the Soviet Union was still a thing. Wonder if Glowie is one of them.

Also to make it extra hilarious, this is right outside of Radio Free Europe HQ, Europe's most loathsome propagandist outlet.
This will not end well unless you do rituals to protect the people and make sure the harvest goes good with gods and saints patronage. I don't see even saint George on there and lot of crap that should not be there

Uh... maybe close the hatches of your tank while you're out for a smoke.

Also, can someone translate what the text says? The same message always pops when a grenade is dropped.
Everybody seemingly has a trigger to drop them bombs linked to turning "bottom auxiliary lighting" on/off.

Russian spies claim that there is MUTINY going on in the Ukrainian garrison in Bakhmut.

Interesting news came from my spies from SBU. The Ukrainian soldiers, who are now in Bakhmut, against the background of total losses made the right choice and made a collective decision not to obey Zelensky’s will and not die. It turned out to be an armed rebellion, but life is more expensive and right now they are thinking how to escape from a closing cauldron. Zelensky stomps his legs and demands that Zaluzhny cut an attempt at rebellion and cut the undefeated. But Zaluzhny himself understands that in that situation they cannot cope with Wagner. I think that tomorrow we will have good news. And the clown Zelensky, as usual, will say that it was his decision, there was no rebellion and flight, but there was a planned retreat under his strict fatherly leadership. Ah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha...

MRAP is a very vague term and can mean anything from the Oshkosh M-ATV which is basically a mine-hardened Humvee replacement and has a 5 man crew, to the Caiman 6x6 which is twice as big and heavy but can carry a crew of 10.

That said they both can hit approximately 60 mph despite their weight.

The M113 is honestly quite possibly worse than MRAP option above because, while they can carry more crew than the M-ATV and is physically smaller than the Cougar, I doubt it's more survivable than either option. The M113 can be penetrated by armor piercing ammo in larger calibers that are man-portable (7.62 NATO black tip AP will pen an M113 and will also pen the side armor of a BTR-70, not sure of the frontal area but possibly that as well), and virtually anything that isn't a relatively modern MBT can be destroyed with any sort of man-portable or stationary AT weapon. Yes, this includes simple RPG-7's firing a 60 year old PG-7(V, M, VL, etc) warhead. The M113 and BTR-70 also have far lower top speeds which means when the road is clear they will still be a more easily picked off target simply by virtue of being easier to hit as they are driving down the road.

I'm not a military expert or particularly well-versed in doctrine, tactics and whatnot, but saying MRAPs are worthless is IMHO a lie. The one in the photo appears to be some flavor of International MaxxPro, which is middle of the road as far as size and weight for MRAPs goes, and was actually slated to be an M113 replacement.
The issues with the MRAPs in this environment are moreso stuff like that they're way too fucking tall (maxxpro is 10ft, compared with M113s/BTR-80s which are 7-8 feet). Height is a liability in open combat.

Combine that with them being extremely top-heavy and maxxpros having only 4 wheels, there is no way that they don't just get completely bogged up in the mud. M113 is tracked, and BTR-80 has the weight over 8 tires and is amphibious, despite being roughly the same weight.

The tg channel described it as a damaged & abandoned T-72 that the ukies got from the russians -> russians blowing it up.

What others said: the release trigger is wired to the light switch. The message says that the lights turned on, which triggers the release mechanism.

Its why the US actually lost some simulated wargames against Iran because the opposition used small speed boats loaded with explosives and decimated the US Navy (I remember back then the other team cried this was cheating and had them ban the maneuver lol).
If you're talking about the Millenial challenge, the General in charge basically was cheating. He would have the speedboats zooming around the US Navy to observe its location, while using literal lamps to broadcast information to the coast via a daisy chain, then bicycle messengers would carry the encoded information to HQ. But the "gotcha" to this is that all of this was done instantly, the bicycle messengers would travel from the Persian Gulf coast to Tehran at the speed of light. General Van Riper was being afforded the advantages of radio communication but without any of its detractions, no ability to interfere or jam it. He then did a saturation attack with shitloads of missiles into the area where the fleet was and sank a few notable ships, notes were taken and the military decided to refloat the fleet and told Van Riper to devise a new strategy and continue the wargame. Van Riper then sperged out and started tooting his own horn about he "sunk the US Navy fleet and they just cheated and refloated it because they were mad they got dabbed on so hard!" when its fucking pointless to run a simulation when the goal is to test multiple forms of combat. Had Van Riper not been given these extreme luxuries regarding communication in the first place the initial sinking would never have been possible.

The Millennial Challenge is one of those urban myths that just persists because nobody looks into it too deeply, just like the vague claim that the oil companies assassinated "this guy who had figured out how to make a water powered car!"

Hold onto your butts gamers. shits about to get real.

The terror attack in Bryansk has the duma calling for a all out war against ukraine, no more SMO but a full on war which would entail conscription and use of MWDs like Gas.

In better news Wagner forces have reached the center of the city, their men on the southern and northern flanks could close the gap at any time. the full might of the AFU is being thrown into the fight now, including massive air asset usage. i have no updoots on the new units being sent in but my guess is they have emptied lvov of everyone who can fight.

Fighting also rages in the push for the MSR to the west of the city, the massive advantage of Russian artillery is making itself felt

Also if you think MRAP's are too slow and heavy to be battlefield taxis then I'd like you to let me know what the better options are. I'll be waiting.
Battlefield taxis are a stupid idea... they are to heavy to transport troops around, not armed enough for an ambush, not strong enough for any mine bigger or better constructed than an antipersonal mine and you leave troops stranded if you use them to transport more than one squad.
the concept behind it was outdated in the 30s... lightly armored semimotoried infantry is just stupid,

just get IFVs and go full mechanized...

FSB or crisis actors. Because if I was a Russian glowie I'd definitely be putting my face on the internet to make a cringe video having just murdered some Russian civilians.

It couldn't possibly be hohols. Those guys never launch self destructive gay ops to make a big drama.

Fair enough, but if you don't have any BTR's, and nobody is giving you M113's, then I wouldn't mind a Maxxpro if the other option is riding in a VW Transporter or GAZelle you took out of the local hospital's ambulance fleet.

The height issue yeah, the fact that it's not meant for mud yeah. Both I can see being a problem. But I wouldn't call them useless. They're just as vulnerable as anything else out there, will protect troops from small arms fire and some emplacements, will keep guys safe from artillery to a degree.

For moving boys between postitions or outposts near the frontline you could do worse.
