Super normie friend of mine who used to be okay with troons has done a full 180 with the Hogwarts stuff. Plus her seeing what's happening in schools has added on to her hate of them. That pendulum is going to be swinging back to them really hard soon me thinks.
It's going to accelerate as "allies" begin to realize they can just decouple from the rhetoric, spend an afternoon deleting their old tweets or posts or what-have-you, and quietly move away from the armchair activism. Having farmed enough upvotes for being a "good person" on the "right side of history," they can just shimmy over to the
other right side of history as the one they were just on falls out of fashion and ceases being hip. And they'll slowly realize that the newest, hottest fashion is to bend over backwards and go scorched earth on the causes they used to be all about.
Why did hippies and student radicals fall off so, so fucking hard in the 70s? Sure, you had a few devotees blowing up toilets, but mostly they all wandered off to work their jobs at microsoft. The causes they marched for and took full credit for, despite not doing anything but marching? Oh, they let black people (and also the gays, come to think of it) fucking
rot in the 70s and the 80s - they turned away and never looked back, lol. And then they became the born-agains, and decided no-one should ever smoke weed or read non-religious texts again, because they themselves were retarded, lacked self-control, and swung from one side to the other. Same shit, different millennium.
So this shit's going to come to a hilarious end, only to be followed up by something even more retarded as the parasites that enabled it chase the next big thing they can buy a bumper sticker for.
