I think the interview may still be on after all. Theres no way grudge syde phil wouldn't try to get the last word in after trolls blew up his plans. He would be cussing out the trolls and calling stuttering craig names while putting words in his mouth. I would be really surprised if phil manages to just back out of the interview and never say anything about it.

Maybe he's still just trying to think of how to explain backing out of it though and will come clean during the night stream after having a few drinks later today.

I just wanna point out that the whole Hassan Bokhari being Phil's partner manager thing was a nearly baseless rumor.
Hassan was, at some point during his employment at Twitch, was a partner accounts manager. There are tens of thousands of Twitch partners. I'm not sure if Hassan was at the top of the chain of command of partner management, or if he was one of numerous people in the same sort of position. But either way, the odds that he was Phil's personal liaison to Twitch is extremely small.
Hassan was also one of a relatively few members of Twitch staff that was known to the Twitch community (he was kind of a lolcow himself, btw), so people just kind of latched on to that theory.

Hassan was spotted numerous times in Phils chat, publically denied ever being in Phils chat and was known to use discord as a form of communication to partners. Its well known Hassan ran a discord server filled with mostly twitch partners and it coincides with the date DownFromTheRafters used discord first to his very first issue with false DMCA claims on Twitch.

The evidence may be circumstantial but its there.

  • "I've been on youtube for X years, I know how this works better than you"
  • Outright cancelling the guest spot because of "unprofessionalism" or other such nonsense
  • Says he can't afford to miss 3 hours worth of donations
It's either that or he goes woe-is-me-mode and makes out that his wife and cat-son are at risk of serious injury or death if he appears on a livestream where he can't ban 90% of the chatters.

Whether he lashes out or tries to convince Craig to disable chat and only talk about video games and his 4th place EVO trophy doesn't really matter at this point.

The interview is not going to happen and his correspondence with Craig will never progress from 3am replies to an email.

Craig said that Phil gave him permission to read the email, so it's going to be a nothing burger.
