Chantal doesn't get it. The dogs issue was because FFG didn't take the news well about the health and couldn't bring herself to give the order to euthanize, and only did it once she was told that keeping her dog alive was doing more harm than good.

The only reason Chantal never euthanized BBJ was because she never had an adequate reason to do so because "cat care costs money that can be spent on food" isn't a good enough one to the Internet at large and her viewers. Also, Chantal milked as much as she could to milk the last days of BBJ, and she knows that putting BBJ to sleep is an avenue for more milking.

Casey, Bebejeune, BBJ has been a true & loyal companion for at least 16-18 years. She asked for nothing more than the compassionate, competent care a loving parent provides without question. Fresh, clean food, water & litter in clean receptacles, comforting scratches and some play time & some fun toys. Appropriate vet care. In return, she gave unquestioning love and loyalty. This dear old lady, deserving of gentleness & a respect for her dignity in her declining years was treated like an irritant. If she were to pass in her sleep tonight, her last week in the home of humane, caring people will have given her more care & kindness, more genuine security than I suspect she’s had in years.

It's really obvious that Chantal views euthanasia as a one and done deal where you walk in with a pet and walk out without one, whereas many vets these days encourage owners to spend a few days or weeks creating some good last memories with their pet. Home euthanasia is also encouraged these days.

Even if BBJ does ultimately require euthanasia, it doesn't mean this time attending to her needs and spoiling her rotten has been pointless.
