The Type 55 is an 11,000 tonne multipurpose stealth destroyer with cruise missiles, modern radars and very good electronics. This seems a tad hyperbolic. I have no doubt some recruits have only lasted 4 hours at the front. This is just a tragic fact of life in a war. I doubt EVERY recruit lasts only 4 hours though. If Ukraine was taking those sorts of losses they would have fallen apart way more quickly and completely then they have.

By all accounts, the Ukrainian Army is withdrawing in good order, even taking the time to destroy bridges and wat not behind them. This isn't exactly the sort of maneuver conducted by Units that been "completely destroyed". If they had, Russia would be half way to Kramatorsk by now.

This isn't exactly the sort of maneuver conducted by Units that been "completely destroyed". If they had, Russia would be half way to Kramatorsk by now.

Wagner doesnt has the mobility for such a move... thy grind and grind and grind some more before sending in their troops to take a small area.
the Russian troops themself are pretty thin and havent done many offensive actions in the last month, and well they mostly failed. the fresh russian troops are still training and havent seen any action

The Dyke blocked the advance from Russian controlled areas North of the City, and they destroyed the crossing point for the 00506 Road. Ukraine's main supply and retreat line is down the H-32 on the other side of the dam. That river Flows North lets not forget. If anything, blowing the Dyke made it EASIER to withdraw, because it drained the levies south of it, essentially creating a shitty mud field that, with some effort, you CAN walk across if there are no bridges. I suspect both considerations factored into Ukraines decision to blow the dam.

Wagner cant use this victory for a fast advance but there isnt much defensive countryside left till the main river basin..
