Jackson's accusers where opportunistic greedy faggots, one of the parents, before he made accusations, flat out came out and said to Jackson if he didn't pay him off he would ruin his career, and Jackson, as weird as he was, had that narcissists stubborn streak and decided to fight it.
He was given extremely bad advice by his management at the time of the first allegations where he paid the kid off, as he was in the middle of a huge world tour, and interrupting it to fight that shit in court would have cost him his contract with Pepsi and millions in failed concert appearances, and the money he paid out to make it go away he could make back and more simply on the Japanese leg of his tour.
So he paid it off.
But you know what they say about paying Danegeld, and thats what fucked Jackson in the future, as other sharks saw a chance of a payout and wormed their way in.
Then that sleaze bag Martin Bashir published his hit piece and Jacksons reputation never really recovered.
Jackson was eventually cleared of charges at his trial but the accusations never went away and that first pay off made it so he was always doubted - "why would an innocent man pay them off"
Its a fair question, and before the Razorfist video I was convinced Jackson was scum and was looking forward to shitting on Razorfists defense, but from everything I could find, theres just no real proof, just allegations from some extremely questionable and shitty people with a vested interest in making money, and a series of mistakes from an eccentric oddball who was given extremely bad advice, and hounded by a Press that saw money in destroying him

This was the most irritating type of troon comment on the Binging With Babish video. It's not that I think it's impossible that some of them really watched the channel. But you can tell when someone's being insincere, it's just so very obvious they're a brainless mob that came from somewhere else and aren't regular viewers. The lying was pathetic and incredibly see through. I remember one "regular viewer" acting concerned and asking for recommendations for other cooking channels. It was so obvious it was performative and he/she/it/shit wasn't actually looking for recommendations. Not to mention if you watch cooking on youtube, your suggested videos are absolutely full of them. Such a shitty, entitled tactic to try to intimidate everyone involved with the channel into thinking they're losing faithful longtime viewers. I think it's becoming increasingly known that whenever these 'fan' controversies pop up, it doesn't originate with real fans. It's the same pattern that keeps repeating, and people are getting wise to the grift.

It usually goes like this:

1. Creator makes A Thing.
2. Thing is popular and is promoted
3. Perpetually online woke weirdos identity a percieved slight against their all-consuming moral hegemony and attack. Usually this starts with a single tweet.
4. Said tweet gets picked up as news and reported as 'fans hate Thing' to garner outrage clicks.
5. Creator feels like they need to respond to the backlash because it seems like it's coming from their fans. Creator grovels, and may or may not delete Thing.
6. Real fans are annoyed.

I've seen this happen a few times in this exact way in a fandom I'm in, but I'll will refrain from sperging about it here. The good news is that the pattern is now exposed, and creators can see there's nothing to gain by groveling.
