The fun to see sometimes the Dems fighting themselves from what I read on that article.
Doesn't our constitution say that the District of Columbia isn't allowed to be a state or something.

But is it fighting or "fighting?"

Not necessarily. The issue is that Congress has sole jurisdiction over the district. If DC were to somehow become a state, then Congress would have to relinquish its power over it which is unbelievable coming from the Left.

The other problem, which is why I really find the whole thing absurd, is that Congress would have to surrender certain territory that would allow a new state to form. Put simply, the result would likely make gerrymandering look like high art in comparison.

You mean Crazy Days and Nights. @Random Internet Person
That's the site.
People wonder why the right doesn't fight back. Here's why: They've found nobody or nothing worth fighting for, and they feel it's better to just let the whole thing just burn down and just build on the ashes.
Maybe ship them off to an abandoned island would be better.
What abandoned islands are there? given it's NYC, you're most likely to find a river or just dump them on your next visit to COney Island.
No shit, that's why the average person wants them to be either sent home or not to be here in general.
The cost is ten million to house them. How much would it cost to get the means necessary to kill every last one of them, even though that won't happen because microtransactions are seen as the worst thing in the history of gaming?

Trump was and is the only thing keeping massive swathes of "allies" together in US Politics. Him being out of the POTUS chair ironically makes the alliance weaker.

It's tribalism in action, all parts of the Establishment recognize him as a threat and will treat him as such. Once he is gone they will inevitably return to fighting each other.

#1 and #2 on the list aren't workable; I assume they are sacrifice propositions so he can concentrate on 3-5.
#4 isn't workable either, lol.

Not many who aren't already a parent/planning to be one are going to be shifted over into the taxpayer breeding category of society by such an act, and certainly not by such a margin as to reverse the population decline.

You want that? You have to do drastic, hilariously unpopular shit on the level of banning contraceptives.

AOC begged to go to exclusive Met Gala, even if it meant breaking the rules

https://nypost.com/2023/03/05/aoc-begged-to-go-to-met-gala-even-if-it-meant-breaking-the-rules/

Tldr: vogue paid for AOC to go to the met gala and she screwed over contractors.

Makeup: $344.85. AOC didn’t pay it for six months, after the ethics investigation started. The makeup artist sent the bill to a collection agency, which said it was “EXTREMELY overdue.”

Hair: $477.73. After months of non-payment – also until the start of the ethics investigation — the hairstylist’s rep emailed AOC’s staff that “it would look terrible if we had to file a complaint with the NY Dept of Labor against Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.”

Transportation from the Bronx to the Carlyle Hotel? $586.84 (including idling time – good for the planet!). It wasn’t until May 2022 – eight months after the gala – that AOC reimbursed Conde Nast for her $180 share. Why they split this bill four ways is unclear — the other three people in the car were there for her.

Hotel? $4,602.92 – not reimbursed to the designer until May 2022

AOC’s boyfriends shoes and bowtie? $406.09 – not reimbursed until May 2022 (under investigation, her staff suddenly decided he shouldn’t receive free gifts).

Car service from the Carlyle to the museum? $571.59 – not reimbursed until May

The only person who got paid the full value of her services was the manicurist – because, as AOC’s staffer told investigators, “the woman there said she … would need to be paid by cash” … immediately

I hate to play the old memes but...

...Leibovitz. You helped create this. Not a single bit of goddamn sympathy.
I'd give Stewart more credit than that. He was a) actually funny; b) could tell jokes that didn't rely on politics; c) could tell jokes about Dems being idiots; and d) could actually say nice things about people on the other side of the aisle at times. He was absolutely a liberal comedian whose views did influence the jokes he told, but that's not a problem as long as he's telling genuine jokes. It's his imitators who resorted to "Rs dum" as the punchline to every non-joke.

That was 20 years ago.

I want to know where you got that incredibly fashionable pair of rose-tinted goggles from.

I certainly fucking don't like either of the disgusting fucks now, but him vs Tucker Carlson was the moment of his career that I can reliably point to for people to remember that he wasn't all that different from his successors. If I could be asked to bother - I definitely can't - I'd bet going back and watching old episodes of his show would put the lie to that common notion pretty quickly.
