The “honeymoon “ is over & at some point, even she will become aware this isn’t a marriage made in heaven. What lengths will she go to, to hide that?

Looks like the beginnings of good old fashioned Gingivitis to me. I don't think her mouth is full of abscesses, I think her gums are just starting to swell up. The black crud on top is probably the tartar built up over the years choking the life out of her back teeth. Strangely enough the front teeth don't look as bad although that could be filter magic but I also think that in the cases where she does brush it's probably what people can see and nothing else. She needs to waddle down to the dentist. Wonder what that looks like in Kuwait.

Chantal is pushing 40 (HA HA!), and gums can begin receding even with decent attention to oral care (hence the expression for someone older as being "long in the tooth"). She's also been on meds for her mental health, many of which are well-known to cause dry mouth and dental problems. I wouldn't be surprised if the CPAP was a contributor to dry mouth, too. But the bare minimum care of brushing her teeth once every full moon doesn't seem to be a priority. Even a homeless person without a toothbrush can wet a napkin or handful of toilet paper and rub the most egregious gunk off the teeth!

I wasn't able to figure out if the camels they visited were someone's property or were just wild camels that wander about as they like...if they were wild, there's NO WAY I'd approach one of them...I am afraid to post a link to a video until I know better how to do it, but "Camel Kills Man" on YouTube is pretty instructive (It's the "safe" one with blurred images, but I've seen the NSFW version). LMAO, Salah is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Syrian born, living in Kuwait. Kuwait has no path to citizenship for non-ethnic Kuwaitis. So Salah's best hope is to come to Canada via Chantal. That's the whole point of this "relationship." Chantal can go back to Canada. She just doesn't want to because all of her problems are there.
In Kuwait, she can pretend she has a happy life with no problems, like people do when they're on a vacation. And she wants to stay in vacation mode forever.

That’s interesting. It seems that it’s illegal for bachelors to live in the same buildings as families - they’re supposed to live in strictly bachelor-only accommodation. And there have been ongoing measures taken to enforce these rules - see this article from a few hours ago:

There seem to be some exceptions for expats living in Kuwait, though it’s not clear how that would apply to someone with Salad’s questionable status.

This Kuwait Times article from December 2021 is more about the law regarding housing of non-Kuwaiti citizens generally, although it does mention bachelors.

The reason seems to be they want to preserve Kuwaiti morals and customs. So other Arab families with similar mores are OK, but not filthy foreigners and especially not bachelors.
