Actually, this brings up an interesting question, is it defamation if someone uses an AI to generate an article and the AI defames someone?

If they publish it I would think so.
They have to make it known that it was AI-generated or a parody in order to try and make it legal.
Even then, if you publish an article calling someone a pedophile without evidence it could still be murky, legally speaking.
Obviously this is uncharted territory.

You could argue a pretty wild defense but I expect any court would find that the act of publishing the article makes them liable.

The "actual malice" standard (which is the stronger one used for public figures) is "acting with reckless disregard for the statement's truth or falsity":
If you publish an AI-generated random article about a person as though it were true, that is certainly reckless disregard for the truth.
If you prefixed it by saying "this is randomly generated text by ChatGPT", I expect you'd be okay if you can plausibly argue that no one would mistake it for an actual claim.

I randomly stumbled across this lengthy blog post where it looks like someone autisticly screeched about KF in 2018 because their Sims-playing friends were mocked. The blog counter says it has had 3 million hits but I’m suspicious that it’s accurate. After a few cursory searches here I am under the impression this has never been posted before. Forgive me if I’m wrong. I haven’t read the whole thing but at first glance it just looks like the usual sperging you see from everyone else who whines about this website’s existence.

i just watched the farms documentary again, and i noticed something ...
at 50:09, there's an image of a masked man, who appears to be vordrak, holding a credit card:
this (obviously shopped) image appears while null is heard explaining how "somebody stole credit cards and donated $14,000 in one day, and when i refunded these transactions, because i recognized them as fraudulent, we got kicked off of the payment processor for being a high risk merchant".
i'm curious if there's confirmation that vordrak was responsible, or if this is subtle speculation?

Just finished watching it myself, really well done and hilariously presented I'd say, while he did skip over a bunch of stuff and it does rely on the viewer having at least some prior knowledge of the site I'd argue it would be nearly impossible to explain in detail even most of the sites key events without the video being absurdly long and convoluted. I like how he addresses some of the most glaring misunderstandings about the site early on, like pointing out that it's not just leftists that the site makes fun of, not enough normies are aware of the sites history with Ethan Ralph I feel. His nod to the Beauty Parlor had me in stitches as well. Also glad he albeit briefly goes into the zoosadist shit as well, Kiwifarms never publicly get's credit for all people here have done in getting at least some justice to those fucks.
Clearly a lot of time and effort went into this, and while it will undoubtedly get buried it certaily made my afternoon so thanks for that. Hat's off to the audio as well, really liked his choice of music to along with the video, memes aside I can't help but think Nightcall sums up us and what we are about really well.
