Ryuho Okawa, the leader of the Japanese “Happy Science” cult who claimed to be able to communicate with the spirits of everyone from Jesus to Donald Trump, died Thursday aged 66, local media reported.

He was rushed to a hospital after collapsing at his home in Tokyo earlier this week, and his death was confirmed on Thursday, according to major media, including national broadcaster NHK and Jiji press agency.

I feel like another factor that plays into it is postmodernism. Postmodern society has seen an increase in atheism amongst the populace in the west and East Asia, and younger people tend to flock to philosophy and/or political ideology to fill the void that stems from a lack of an overarching narrative and meaning to life, or materialism. In many East Asian countries where many people are apolitical they turn to stuff like consumerism and whatever the fuck this is. At least that's my experience.

Yep this is actually exactly just like what happened in ancient Rome. The Romans had strong cultural BS that the Christian leaders in Rome decided to bend over and allow them to teach pagan BS and ruin the teachings of Christ.

I am not even against Catholicism, don't think I'm trying to bad mouth them but you can't ignore that there is some pagan influence has been incorporated in the Catholic Church due to human imperfection, and we know throughout history there have unfortunately been corrupt leaders in the church. I mean even take Pope Francis for example for trying to incorporate the modern global homo stuff into it. Some of the Church's traditions are not based on Biblical teachings.

I'm not here to debate what is right or wrong about it I'm just explaining that this type of stuff happens because of human imperfection.
