Paid by her simps.Anyone know what cosmetic surgeries she's had? I saw a photo of her recently where she had bandages on her nose, but I thought there were a couple more?
Good post! It's incredibly true. Her stupidity bites her again in creating yet another huge blindspot (lol rationalist) just recreating her fucked up childhood. Just like her favorite porn fetish is just recreating her molestation. This would be sad and boring from its predictability if she wasn't so blatant about being worthless. It seems apparent that Aella doesn't know how the "normal" world works, but rather went from one cultish, insular, hyper-analytical circle (a niche Calvinist/Charismatic/Apologetics religious group) straight into another (Rationalists / Effective Altruists.)
Aella has described her religious upbringing in various places. She was homeschooled, and her dad focused on Christian apologetics, the study of debating the validity of Christianity from a rational perspective. My upbringing was almost identical in those regards, except that I can tell from certain details her family was pretty over the line into cultish territory with their behavior. In contrast, my family made sure we could interact with normal people (to be "in the world but not of it").
I do think it's likely that Aella was in a church that was cultish or a borderline cult and that's not just her atheist critique of a standard Christian church. I haven't yet been able to find what specific church Slick was involved in back then, but we do know that Slick is both a Calvinist and a charismatic, which means it probably was a pretty weird / niche church because most Calvinists (Reformed Baptists, Presbyterians, Primitive Baptists, etc.) are very anti-Charismatic, and most Charismatic denominations (Pentecostal, Assemblies of God) are anti-Calvinist. Aella's detail that in addition to normal church services (3x a week) her family did Bible Study five nights a week is a pretty dead giveaway that this is a fairly unusual church, even by very conservative standards. Almost no churches/house groups I was familiar with growing up required that kind of everyday attendance and study unless they were focused on controlling members in an unhealthy, cultish way. I still hold to the faith I was raised with, but I know many kids in those more cultish circles, and pretty much 100% rebelled, for obvious reasons.
Aella has mentioned in the past that her behavior cost her father a leadership position. This probably means he was an elder at said church since Scripture teaches an elder "must manage his own household well" (1 Tim. 3:4), and "his children are believers and not open to the charge of debauchery or insubordination" (Titus 1:6). Most Protestant churches apply this to pastors as well, but elsewhere Aella refers to how their pastor convinced her mom not to leave her dad back when Aella ran away from home, so it seems her dad was not the pastor. It does make me curious exactly *what* church Aella grew up in since it seems a pretty unusual environment. EDIT: He was an assistant pastor.
Anyway, the Rationalist / Effective Altruism community Aella settled in bears a LOT in common with the religious community she came from.
Some of the similarities:
1. An obsession with rationality and analysis.
Christian apologists are heavy on reading and discussing rational defenses of Christianity, and when you encounter this on online forums, you'll see the kind of thinking is similar to the long rationalist diatribes from fedora atheists. There is a good approach to Christian apologetics, but it often devolves into long, hypothetical discussions about minutiae that any outsider would find pretty alienating. So while the stated purpose of apologetics is to present a rational defense of the religion to nonbelievers, much of the internal conversation is really about stuff that a non-Christian wouldn't even begin to understand because they'd lack the philosophical/theological vocabulary to do so. Furthermore, why make a defense of Christianity if you have no interaction with nonbelievers, as was her upbringing? In the same way, EA is supposed to be about making the world better, but most of it is just sperging online about stuff normal people don't care about.
2. Wielding power through the threat of ex-communication from the community.
Reading Aella's long screeds defending herself to the EA community, I was struck by how similar they are to defenses and infighting in hyper-religious communities. Aella's father is also a Calvinist (as noted by OP), and if you visit a site like The Puritan Board, you'll see Calvinists debating for 20 pages over whether a pastor is really Calvinist. Additionally, you'll see board members defending themselves against such charges. For example, here are people complaining about being banned by mods from Matt Slick's own board, accusing him of not being a real Calvinist because he banned them. They are similar Reddit-style complaints and an obsession with purity tests. It's very similar behavior to the EA and Rationalist communities where people's membership in a community is based on how well they can type long, analytical filibusters justifying themselves. Aella could have never done this in the conservative world, as women are automatically barred from wielding power, but she can do so quite well in the EA / Rationalist community. And any Christian will tell you that often leaders use this sort of clout to wield power in a cultish, toxic way: members of the community are always in fear that they might be excommunicated. And Aella seems to have enjoyed excommunicating members of her community quite a lot!
3. Insularism, a lack of awareness about the real world
Aella really hasn't spent much time in the real world at all--she went on a pendulum from isolated homeschool to a camgirl. She assumes that her experience as the latter has helped her experience the real world, but actually, sex workers are somewhat *outside* of society in exactly the same way hyper-religious conservative homeschoolers are. This manifests itself in many amusing ways, e.g., her insistence that she should be able to find a man who wants to marry and have children with her despite her being an escort and running an OnlyFans. When people on Twitter respond that men aren't going to want to have kids and be in a long-term relationship with a sex worker, she insists that "everyone she knows" doesn't care about her sex work and regards it as totally normal. She doesn't realize that 1) she is in an extremely weird cultish circle of people and that their beliefs, like the cult she was brought up in, don't apply more widely, and 2) people may even still be lying to her about not caring that she's a sex worker, given that she hasn't found a serious partner despite trying for years.
Consider this example from earlier in the thread:
TBH, if I saw this stat I'd think, almost 30% of people having had sex with a stranger within an hour of meeting them was high, but I'm self-aware enough to think, "Yeah, well I'm from a conservative background, so that's probably why."
But Aella's response is the opposite: she doesn't believe them! It must be super common to have sex with someone within an hour of meeting! It couldn't be that her worldview is warped by hanging out with polyamorous sex workers!
In summary, while Aella has swung from one end of the pendulum to the other, the characteristics of the communities she gravitates toward are very similar.
EDIT: Thank you @Freya, I was indeed being a fag--post edited.
She's unironically the skinniest polycuck woman I've ever seen. Most of them are built like Kentucky Walmart greeters.
She's likely still on drugs. The way she talks is so annoying. The only people I've heard talk like this are 14 year old girls trying to be quirky.
I finally got around to watching this. Aella keeps referring to how she's a sex researcher while citing exclusively data from her Twitter polls. She also commonly responds to anti-porn arguments by acting like there isn't any evidence of whether watching certain kinds of porn correlates with real-world acting on those fantasies. She does this several times in her debates with Murphy, and her Twitter TL is full of that sort of stuff.
UM LIKE LIKE UMMM LIKE LIKE

Since nobody really gives a shit, we've decided to call her Paella, because she's the exact opposite of something wholesome and tasty as a good dish.I'm still reading her name as "Ay-Ella"; did we figure out how she pronounces her made-up word yet?
I had always assumed "Ay-ella" as well, but she pronounced it "Ay-la" a few times in the video Freya posted above.I'm still reading her name as "Ay-Ella"; did we figure out how she pronounces her made-up word yet?
LCF sisters found Aella's reddit alt where she talks about having hyperhidrosis, ie sweating a lot from hands, feet and armpits. I've added the account to the OP.

She admits to being Abigail Glass (Aella's sex worker name).

Why people would want to willingly fuck somebody like this (you know besides all the pedophilia, not showering and constipation) is beyond me.

So she's tweeted about this on her main many times. Apparently she can sweat on command:LCF sisters found Aella's reddit alt where she talks about having hyperhidrosis, ie sweating a lot from hands, feet and armpits. I've added the account to the OP.

Hey, Paella, if you are reading this - as a certified endocrinologist I can assure you, that this is correct procedure that will cure your condition. You only need to shock your glands properly, this is why voltages of 220+ V are recommended. Also, good news - you don't need such fancy and expensive equipment, a simple wall socket will suffice. You won't sweat anymore, guaranteed....
And has done various terrible things in an attempt to fix this, including running an electric current through her hands and feet:
