I know I could ask what possessed anyone in this thread to get their design but at least they chose their own awful tats. I can’t get my head around why anyone would volunteer for this at all, and this seems unethical even by MTV standards. How can the Farms be a hateful suicide machine but this is just ‘entertainment’?

Unironically good for her, but what immediately and helplessly came to my mind was the mental image of getting her eyelids tattooed... And then the subsequent laser treatments.
If you're unsure of the extent of that horror, look up some pictures of the process and aftermath of laser tattoo removal.

does laser tattoo removal actually remove them completely or will she be stuck with these faded tattoo remnants on her skin forever?

Depends on ink used, depth of tattooing, complexion, age of tattoo. All kinds of factors.
Modern lasers (Pico) have gotten very, very good though. For her, probably not 100% and there will often be some depigmentation so something will look “off” about it, but it’s still a hell of a lot better than what she had.

She’s always going to have to slather on makeup to look normal, both to cover the tattoo remnants and to even out the gravel skin pitting she got from meth use. I doubt very much she’d enjoy looking like Anthony Cumia even if the lasers got it all off. TBH the faded ghostly tattoos kind of look cool
