Escape From New York: Louis Rossmann Edition - Hopefully he does not make Texas a bughive

The shithole state isn't done with Rossmann yet.

He has some random tax lien from 2016 yet the state never called or informed him about it, instead a fan his bank agent found it and told him. In the middle of explaining it he calls out people like Casey Neistat for showing the glitz and glamour of NYC and never actually any reality, which he does. Then he plays the recording of the phone call he made to the department of taxation & finance. After getting randomly disconnected he calls back only to be told that there's nothing they can do and that it basically doesn't exist apparently.

Pinned comment suggests a particular brand of bureaucratic incompetence that affects more businesses than just Rossmann's:

Didn't he say that his bank agent told him about the tax lien on his NGO account. The fan just found more info, if I am not mistaken.
He did indeed, I stand corrected.

EDIT: Seems to be resolved now.

"...THEY SENT MY SUMMONS TO MAINE! 🤡🤡"
In the video it's brought up how some redditor gaslit poor Rossmann into thinking, if only for a moment, that he didn't file his taxes.

Fortunately this was not the case because he had copies of all his tax returns in his binders at home. This is proof that redditors are awful individuals who lie all the time and should never be trusted in anything they say. If I was him I would ignore anything redditors say because they routinely molest children.

Anyways, Louis after getting redirected to different phone numbers several times eventually finds the one department in New York State that knows what they're doing. They figure out it was a clerical error on the part of the state and they fix it for him immediately. Louis thanks them profusely and asks where the letter of warrant vacation will be sent. It turns out the address they have on file for him was some random PO box in Maine. So most likely the entire time NYS was sending notices and summons to this PO box and he never received them. Brilliant.

Sometimes I feel like Michael Douglas' character in Falling Down.

I hope other people can get some entertainment value out of me getting memed and reamed by the state & city on a regular basis. I'm ready for it to end. This isn't fun anymore. :/
Hopefully this is the last of it. It would definitely be worth looking up you and your business on every state & city site you can find just to make sure, they might have more hidden things you don't know about like that tax lien.

At least you have a stinky oreo cat. Pet the cat, Louis!

Meanwhile, more right to repair wins?

If it's any consolation, it at least is bringing up horrific beurocratic issues within New York that none of us on the outside would have known.

I mean if the IRS is anything to go off of, one can easily assume anything government related is going to have REALLY shitty systems.

The worst part is that regular job postings online have been raising their requirements for anyone applying for admin work, even entry level. Yet the people working for the state can't even get their shit together. As someone that's done admin work for over a decade (data entry specifically), it's not that fucking hard to sort files, especially electronically, and make sure all the information is correct. So one wonders what even goes on in these places to begin with that they would make a HUGE fuck-up like this and not catch it for a long time.

It was almost perfectly engineered. Too small an amount for the bureaucratic machine to chase it down, but large enough to turbofuck his business' credit, and all the notices sent to a random address that is a PO Box ensuring zero possibility of the mail being forwarded. Bureaucratic incompetence is to be expected, but they out did themselves here. Truly worthy of some kind of award.

The lien sabotaged him more than he initially thought and he's not happy about it.
He really shouldn't lament about the relationships he's lost regarding his job. If any of his exs really gave a shit about him, they would realize the shit situation he was put under regarding his business and be a little bit more understanding and support him through whatever was going on, especially now that we know it was a situation that was BEYOND his control.

Louis is really fired up over the whole New York state fucking him over. He did more research into it, and it turns out that the PO Box in Maine that NY had for service is a vacant PO Box, and that any correspondence to a vacant PO Box is marked by the USPS as "unable to forward" and returned to its sender.

He also just dropped this on his YT community page: the submission he made to the FTC about right to repair. (A)

Time to declare a Total Retard War on New York, I suppose.

Looks like this all put a fire under his butt.

Farmers seem to be pushing back against bullshit regulation and corporate rent-seeking all over the world right now.
Don't piss off farmers. They aren't fucking dumbasses and hillbillies like the media would like you to believe, they know how to talk nice and turn off the cursing when the situation demands, and have enough money to legally fist you, especially if they work together- I've worked with some in my welding, don't fuck with them

Sounds like you're right. Today's follow-up vid has Louis having his Anakin Skywalker moment (linked at specific time: note how it grows more ominous until the video ends):

"We can't expect God to do all the work"

In all honesty, I would hope whatever lawyer Louis gets tells him it's a money pit that would result in nothing, and that it's just not worth it

I hope we get a Killdozer 2 moment from Rossman, which you all remember had no fatalities and only lots of property damage to those that wronged Mr. Dozer. There was the self deletion, but in my imagined scenario Louis just fucks of back to Texas with the feeling of peace and contentment.

Rossman's specialty is electronics, so I'm expecting more sophisticated electro magnetic attacks. Maybe he's wearing an electro magnetic bullet deflecting suit, like some kind of discount Magneto as he's walking by financial servers farms and wiping out debts of all New York residents and businesses.

Jokes aside, you can forgive people, but I wish there was some funny way of getting revenge on the system and its bureaucracy, if legal and financial compensation isn't on the table.
