Exactly. DSP will never honestly address why his viewers had to be subjected to his toxicity in the first place, especially when it was directed towards them. DSP brings up Howard Stern to cope for creating Isaac Himmler but he was never on top (or backed by corporations) like Howard Stern was. DSP is more like a Don Imus or Greaseman (boomer radio guys fired for racial remarks), and like them he got destroyed by pushing hard against the razor's edge.

What he continues to forget during his Howard Stern Cope™ is that Stern is a Jew, so when he makes Nazi jokes, it's considered self-deprecation and thus okay. Not that Stern made many Nazi jokes himself. He just brought in Nazis and let them talk, figuring the audience would 'get' how ridiculous their stances were and mock them, much like Norman Lear did with Archie Bunker in the 70s. Jews have been taking the piss out of Nazis since the Three Stooges, so it's not exactly groundbreaking.

Same thing with portraying racist 'characters'. People used to be allowed to do that without the woke mob digging through ten years of their backlog trying to find incriminating 'evidence' against them. Mostly because back in those days, everyone HAD that kind of shit in their bibliography, so it was harder to single anyone out for having it. Conversely, when Don Imus was on the air, he wasn't 'portraying' some shitkicking huckabuck. He IS a shitkicking huckabuck, (or was, since he's dead now) so him spouting off about 'nappy-headed hoes' isn't him doing a bit - which is why he got in trouble for it. Likewise, when 'the realest d00d on the web' talks about how 'she gonna steal your bag' or 'selling the kid for profits', him getting upset because people call it racist (and him racist by extension) is deliberately obtuse and disingenuous.

What he also forgets about Stern is that Stern took a LOT of heat for his edgy shit before he ran to satellite. In my view, DSP has spent his entire 'career' missing the point. Remember how the comic book industry changed after Watchmen and The Dark Knight Returns? The comics industry saw people reacting positively to mature, serious stories being told in the comic medium, and their response to it was to have heroes start saying 'fuck' and kill people... That's DSP. "What do you mean? I'm doing what you said you wanted, right? So make with the dough."

For Phil who is totally reading this thread (he isn't): Craig is exploiting you for money and fame. I don't think any other member even talked about you after the announcement. Craig is 100% in control and could have killed any interview ideas on the spot and been a nice guy and talked about the good old days. He is going back on that because even he realized that this whole spiel is pretty autistic if you go too far into it. It would have done DSP a lot of good to have a Rambo 2.0, a male friend he could talk about stuff from the days where he still enjoyed things. Look, he even has a cap, what else do you need? As an admitted gacha enjoyed myself, I know those games largely only last 2-3 years outside of a few of the big outliers, but even they still eventually die off as technology advances so it's only a matter of time. Will DSP melt down, or move on to the next game?

Okay, so you rant about haters for 20 minutes every time somebody asks you about them, but you're gonna play dumb semantic games about 'but they asked meeee' so that you can call someone an idiot instead of copping to the fact that you're guilty of exactly what they say you are. Nothing you can do though! If someone asks you a question you HAVE to answer it, you can't just say 'I don't care about trolls and I don't discuss them'. You know, the thing you'd do if you actually didn't care about them?

Ask this dude a completely normal and innocuous question like what kind of music he likes, what his favorite games are, or anything else that he could give a positive and engaging answer to, and he'll give you a 3 word answer, if you're lucky, before blowing it off. If you ask about the haters though, he HAS to answer, and not briefly. He has to make bitter, rambling rants where he relitigates shit from 10 years ago. That's all you really need to see to know exactly how much haters bother him and how much he thinks about them versus questions he could casually respond to that would actually be in line with the 'chill' environment he claims his streams are.

I don't see it going anywhere anytime soon based on the property it's working with you got over 40 years of names to work with in various states of their career as well as new people.
