This war shows once again that Officers win battles, not men or weapons... The russian army is a joke, they failed in pretty much everything they tried. the way less trained but better lead Wagner troops on the otherhand are doing very well.

What I don't get why didn't they transfer Southern Military District to the front line. The officer core and man have shown back in 2008 despite being lesser Gucci equipped compared to the other districts.. To do a superb job. The entire war lasted less then 3 days with additional 2 days of basicly sight seeing by the russians

Not to mention gave us a battle where 2 Russian motor rifle companies along with 58th Army HQ heading to relieve Russian peacekeepers in Tskhinvali. ran into 2 Georgian brigades, whom the two Russian companies not only managed to halt, disrupt, but also cut through.

Which isn't supposed to happen.

The only way wunderwaffen work out is if they give you such a massive advantage that you take close to zero casualties. For example, steel and bronze armor are impervious to stone weapons. Alexander and Cortes alike were able to kill Stone Age tribes until they ran out of people to kill. U.S. systems have a similar advantage over 50s &60s Soviet systems like Saddam had. But Ukraine doesn't have those. In particular, they don't have the air power they need to wipe out Russian air defenses & artillery.

Ukraine and Russia, at the start, were more-or-less evenly matched when it came to technology. The difference is Russia can supply its own war effort domestically, and the Russian leadership quickly learned from their mistakes. The Ukrainians rely on handouts and have absolutely dogshit leadership.

"Superior weaponry" is a cope America has used ever since Vietnam to justify why we actually won "if you really think about it!". Why do you think I bitch so hard at the #Operator types that wear their codpiece "plate carriers" and "low cut helmets"? That represents the Burgermutt style of "war" in a nutshell, rely so heavily on your "superior technology" and fancy "gunfighter tactics" that you are utterly clueless when the other side has an actual war machine, not simply high speed CIA/Seal Team 6 kill squads.

When the other side doesn't play ball and line up neatly to get shot in a "door kicker raid", but instead actually fights back according to their strengths, I've found most of these NATO (American) "volunteers" with all their fancy training have no idea how to react. They completely lack any sort of thinking on their feet or outside of what their Superior Training(TM) tells them.

Or, gasp, take a page out of the enemy's playbook and use their own shit against them? No, you can't do that, Russia is shit and America is THE BEST! My teachers told me so since I was little!

I dont know if the drone was rammed, droused in kerosene, or anything else. Too early to say before RuAF says what happened. What I do know is that americans have their hands tied. Whatever americans blame russians of, they can easily deflect. Rammed? Navigational error. Dumped fuel? Engine trouble. Drone just happened to be close by. Burned by afterburner? The official statement does mention the MQ-9 specifically, so yeah, it is not a Global Hawk. I corrected the post. The place I saw it initially mentioned Global Hawk, which was incorrect.
