Question to lorefags, what is the deal with the elfs? Also, has anyone used them as a wronged class?Do those eunuchs and faggots even read the books?
Rowling took a massive shit on activism in Goblet of Fire where Hermione starts an activist group to liberate house elfs. The organization is called SPEW, nobody treats it seriously and the elfs are unhappy and offended by it.
They are pretty much slaves working for free but they take a lot of pride in their work and, with rare exceptions, this kind of relationship with their wizards \ wizard families is their culture that they are very proud of so they take someone trying to "free" them or pay them as offensive.Question to lorefags, what is the deal with the elfs? Also, has anyone used them as a wronged class?
We get to see three house elf characters through the story, IIRC. One is Dobby, who's considered a freak by other house elves for wishing for freedom. The second is Winky (sp? Been a long fucking while), who is specified as being normal for a house elf and so goes into deep depression when she's freed. The third is Kreacher, a cantankerous old elf who was severely mistreated by most of the Black family (read: a bunch of assholes) but who remained loyal to them and particularly to the one that treated him with dignity (and who takes a shine to the main characters for doing the same). No one in the books except for Hermione considers them a wronged class, and the house elves themselves think she's annoying when she tries to free them. By the time they meet Kreacher she's learned her lesson and simply treats him (and other house elves) as humanely as she can.Question to lorefags, what is the deal with the elfs? Also, has anyone used them as a wronged class?
The Hermione aspect is also used as a parody of well meaning middle class liberals.Question to lorefags, what is the deal with the elfs? Also, has anyone used them as a wronged class?

I'll admit, I'm not too sure what this one's mad about. It's been well established that JK isn't going to back down. Nothing new.
i dont think theres oneIs there an actual thread for Wrestling Otaku?
JK wants her fans (especially this so-called journo) to calm down and stop with all autistic screeching.View attachment 4788524

Does he ever get a groinsaw in the actual books? One is Dobby, who's considered a freak by other house elves for wishing for freedom.
This is what some others said to me as well, but I'm not versed enough in the lore to comment on elfs. I was just curious because JKR is maligned for her anti semetic goblins and other things, but nobody jumped on the literal slave class. If they represent anything at all. Though it's kind of hilarious and sad that if they were housewives, the woke don't care. Thanks everyone, for the explanations. If you want to get all meta-textual about it, the name SPEW (Society for the Promotion of Elvish Welfare) is likely a reference to the Victorian-era Society for the Promotion of Employment for Women. Given what we know of JK Rowling - she's a feminist who came of age in the 1980s - the house elves may not be a stand in for slavery but for housewives.
What Rowling needs to do is fire her management team. Nobody ever told her to not give an inch to these lunatics.View attachment 4788524

She's become Public Enemy #2 to them (take three guesses as to who #1 is). She can't even take a breath without these bleeding eunuchs screeching "GENOCIDE REEEEEEEEE". And even innocents who just want to play a game based on her work are getting caught in the crossfire (Pikamee and Silvervale being the two most notorious examples - they're both natal women too, big thunk).Rowling could release a statement saying she prefers waffles over pancakes and the troons would try to spin it as some kind of -phobic dog whistle. Sad thing is this doesn’t even seem like hyperbole to me anymore.
In the first book a disgusting troll assaults children in the bathroom.View attachment 4786228

I didn't expect anyone to make an HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH reference.Does he ever get a groinsaw in the actual books?
I know exactly which mission you're talking about. It's pretty funny the way it plays out.Been playing this game in my downtime, and a mission I did the other night made me audibly laugh since the troons have decided to make this a Jewish issue too:
When I did a mission with Sebastian Sallow, the end of the mission gave me the option to tell him a friendly goblin was helping us out behind the scenes. Without spoiling the story too much, Sebastian hates Goblins, and you can literally say "Not all Goblins..." to which he promptly interrupts you and says that he hates all of them. I can't tell if this was a clever joke the devs put in there, but it made me crack up
Points to every house
It was already implied here on the threadIn the first book a disgusting troll assaults children in the bathroom.
Anti Trans metaphors were there the whole time
