I remember hearing that a lot back in the day, as well as the voice thing. I just realised that it's the first time in a long time I've heard it. It seems like nowadays the story is "he saw the forest for the trees and left before shit got bad" or "he matured and was tired of doing the character". It could be a combination of all of those things but it's weird the whole health reasons story sort of disappeared.
Did he not make an entire VIDEO about his health issues and mental state announcing his retirement of the Filthy Frank persona? I very clearly remember this video blowing up on YT and I never watched the guy.
The last video was him announcing a book about the FF lore. I remember he made a Tweet announcing his retirement, and now that I remember that I think that was where he addressed his health issues. But I don't think he ever made a truly serious video.
Weird, I specifically remember the video as it was the only thing of his that I ever watched. Maybe a phantom memory, maybe he deleted it, hoping someone that was more into this sorta stuff at the time can fill in the lore blanks here.

I've come to forgive Critikal for his mask and vaccine cuckery because I think he's genuine. He's a known hypochondriac and is rife with actual phobias. I don't doubt he's genuine but he is also unfunny, preachy and arrogant and unfortunately many of his copycats seem to think that behavior is entertaining and they should emulate it.
