It's fucking incredible how every single Doom-related space is so heavily censored that you basically can't even discuss how these fetishistic degenerates have all but taken over in the last decade or so. I just wonder how many "eggs" the rest of them have "cracked" over the years. They have to realize that their time is limited at this point. It's a matter of when, not if, someone they've fucked around with comes out and tells people about it. it's all "fun and games" when you're rubbing your mutilated cockstump as you encourage a child to send you nudes and take hormones, but children grow up, and eventually they remember. Shit man, the grooming was even going on 10 years ago, I remember seeing people talking about gay porn and prostate orgasms to marrub on #vr back in the day, and he literally said he was 12 around then. I just thank fucking god every day that the ZDoom community has been this awful and toxic for nearly 20 years now, or else I probably would have fallen into it too, since Doom has been one of my favorite games for as long as I can remember. Sadly, I don't have screenshots. It's been 10 years and I wouldn't even be confident enough to name names about it. It was public in the #vr channel on the Zandronum IRC though, so it's not like it happened in back rooms or anything.
What I will say is, marrub was quite open about his life at the time. From what I recall, he lived in Florida with a single mother and his aunt, both of whom didn't really give him much supervision, he was very smart for his age (not even joking, he was into programming even back then and was good at it), wasn't masculine at all, and he was pretty much openly gay whenever weird gay shit came up in conversation. He was basically a femboy before femboys were a popular thing. There were a number of instances when people would be "joking" about gay stuff and *actioning* weird shit and marrub would be included in it sometimes. Other times, he initiated. People also used to comically misspell his username as a running joke, and one of the more common ones was "bumrub", which he had zero problem with.
At the time, edgy humor was very much in fashion, and since the server was /vr/'s shitposting enclave I didn't think that much of it, but looking back it was basically grooming. God only knows what went on in private chats where people like me couldn't see it. I stopped going to that chatroom around 2014 anyway so I don't know much about what went down after that, but the next time I saw marrub he was "Alison" and I certainly wasn't surprised he trooned out. Dude's been having his mind fucked with by perverts since he was a preteen.

Um, yes? I'm pointing out that it's attracting more and more troons or in case of old timers, be comfortable to troon out or huddle up together with fellow troons if they're already one, because the game's creator is known to be asskissing them. And troons and coding go hand in hand, just look at other modding communities and any hobby that includes a lot of coding and gaming, you know they'll mestastasize. Rarely you'd find any communities that focuses on those without any trannies.
I was never implying that they just arrived. It's just that thanks to the field of hobby it's doomed to begin with, no pun intended. And it has attracted (and it keeps attracting) these weirdos, and Romero isn't helping one bit with his pandering to them. Though I did word everything poorly there, I still remember what has been said about trannies being on the community since.

Didn't know he was that young, and who fucking knows what kind of ghoulish shit was happening in DMs and private channels?
I like edgy/"edgy" humor, by the way, goofy and immature faggot jokes especially, it never went out of fashion to me, but it feels very fucked to be doing that kind of shit around someone who you know is fucking 12. In a similar sense, I could see why Marisa would be removed from some places, just because he's not fucking appropriate to have around kids.
Man, what other types were going around those parts back then? I vaguely remember Scroton, who was talented as fuck, he made Fractal Doom, then he went nuts and was institutionalized or something, allegedly. Wonder if he was part of that in any sense? As either a victim or a perpetrator, I could see that kind of shit going either way.

Well if you want a list that might jog your memory, I do remember some names of people. I just want to be clear to everyone that this is not necessarily a list of people who did anything wrong. I genuinely don't remember a lot of what went on back then, but I do recall names from the room, just not who said what in most cases. So, in no particular order, I remember:
- Terminus (Everybody already knows who this is, bit of an egomaniac with a tendency to be hot/cold but not a bad person.)
- ijon (The guy who actually made most of the code for Terminus' earlier mods, heard he had drug problems but got over them.)
- Mike12 (HDoomGuy, also legally blind IIRC due to extreme myopia.)
- S'Arais (Certifiably insane fatfur vore enthusiast who sperged out repeatedly and got banned. Someone tried to make a thread about him here years ago.)
- Medicris (Honest to god all I remember is he played a lot of TF2.)
- FKER_Guy (Generic edgy 4chan retard who made a mod and constantly went offtopic.)
- Pancake (Late-20's shitposter, I remember him talking about going to raves or doing party drugs or something one time. Despite that, he seemed alright.)
- GMOTA_Guy (Generic slightly less edgy 4chan retard who made a mod and was BFFs with Terminus.)
- iSpook/iSpookulon (I honestly only remember the name of this one.)
- Revae (Made REKKR, otherwise very quiet.)
- Charcola (Again, I only remember the name for this guy.)
- _sink (Nice person IIRC, but also gave off kinda femboy-ish vibes. Saw him a few years later with an anime girl avatar in the GZDoom discord.)
- Mystical (A bit of an asshole I think, lots of arguments with other users.)

I'm sure that, if there was some place that wasn't either le eebul keeweefirms or a private discord server where people could discuss this stuff in the open, we'd know a lot more.

Made an account (and immediately risking my powerlevel LMAO) because this post is relevant to me, and I can offer my few cents:
- I'm pretty sure GMOTA_Guy is known as Combine_Keegan or something similar along those lines nowadays. He's pretty much fucked off the face of the Earth from what I could tell, as he hasn't been very active in the community. Last I heard he was talking about some sort of big project, but there hasn't been any further development on that end.
- If you're really interested in gossiping -- this is a shot in the dark--, but from the little experience I had with interacting with Terminus, I think him, Combine_Keegan (obviously), and Mike12 usually hang out together in their inner circles. Possibly iSpook too.
Regardless, a decent bit of your post is just listing names (at least when you mentioned my name), and they just happen to be related to some /vr/ projects that Term hosted. I have a hunch that my name is part of your list only because I submitted a few maps for Term (unless I have the reading comprehension of a kindergartener and I failed to see why I'm relevant). I pretty much saw some projects Term was hosting on ZDoom Forums years ago, made one post submitting a map, one for each of the two projects and then peaced out. I never was part of their IRC or Discord server although I'm at least 90% certain they have an IRC they hang out in. But for better or worse, I have zero info from said "inner circle". I actually learned more tidbits that kill my faith in the Doom community from this thread than my actual experience with these people!
Yeah it's him. That looks like a much older pic of him, but he still looks pretty much the same as he did before from when I checked out his streams out of morbid curiosity 1-2 years ago. His chat and his interaction with it was fucking WEIRD.

I drift in and out of /doom/ a lot, but I remember him, and I have seen people say he was sexually harassed by some freaks on ZDF, and ZDF staff refusing to address it, covering it up, etc. Pretty sure this was brought up here.

She is, I'm convinced of that, she did some Twitch streaming at some point, and that wasn't a troon voice. Someone kept posting about her doing heroin or some shit, which I assume is some sort of stupid joke. Did she actually post on /vr/? I don't remember that.
I recall him from the early days, and then one day he was gone. I asked people about it a few times and got no real solid answers, just that he ragequit for some reason, and never came back.
Saw some passing mention about him getting sick of all the egomaniacs, lunatics, and retarded drama going on in the big forums and Discords. Probably keeps himself distanced from much of it if that's the case.
Yeah, her art is fun and nice. The Jap Doomers are apparently gearing up to make another set of maps, looking forward to that, their first one was very memorable.
