Normally when Times Warner subsidiaries prop up some irl villain of the week for people to seethe over on twitter, the system just cracks down on them and forces them into obscurity. But with Trump, they whipped the left-wing masses into full anger hype expecting for him to lose and vanish. Instead, he became president and they were forced to listen to what he says and live knowing they were ruled over by him for 4 years. Constitutionally I think there is nothing stopping Trump from running from prison if he has to. Realistically though if he does get sent there people may default to DeSantis because in that instance Trump will seem like a lost cause to a lot of potential political donors and allies.
