Trump is not the only person saying they are going to arrest him, and not the first person either. I've been hearing all week rumors that this will happen. That still doesn't mean it will for sure happen, obviously. In fact, if what he's saying is true, I still think there's a decent chance the public outrage from right wingers will cause them to delay or cancel their plans.

campaign finance law violations that normally wouldnt be a felony and would be a fine for anyone else: they're arguing that stormy daniels agreeing to stay quiet is a campaign gift to trump (max allowable from a single individual is 2k) and that trumps campaign writing the hush money off as legal fees when a lawyer paid the hush money for trump is tax fraud or something

The worst thing Trump ever did was convince people he was different than all the other presidents. To his credit he did dare to be different. He charged head-long right into the institutions of bureaucracy barely dented the damn thing. Left himself with a massive concussion from which he will never recover. This country has become so exhausted by our last half measure of change that we're doing to quarter and eighth measure attempts at caring about anything.

Plus, why Tuesday? That just seems like a random day to book him when Monday would be quicker.

I've always been of the opinion that Trump was a useful idiot for the GOP, since nobody liked him but he garnered the vote they so desperately needed. And then over the course of his presidency he came off as extremely weak and going around praising goddamn modern day fascist dictators. And then Jan. 6th happened.

If Trump gets thrown in jail then the GOP isn't going to do shit. He is 100% too much of a liability. Especially since DeSantis is looking like everything Trump was and no longer is.

What if he's not lying but the massive mostly peaceful protests cause the feds (or desantis or whoever it is who's supposed to be arresting him) to change their minds? /sneed just to be clear
