General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

for the Nolan case why do people know he get doxxed before, in short, him being autistic enough makes people a bit curious. really not take a long time to figure out who is he, since he basically put his irl info all over the place. i think even his first name in here actually his real name.

i was wondering why you guys gave him a space to argue and debate with for 2 pages couple of pages ago.

so yeah like everyone said ego searching help you see if u get doxxed or not. having different username and not being too open does help
it isn’t doxxing if I put it out there publicly tbf

I’ve taken measures to not have my real name found out by as many people as possible and will take further measures in future too.

I'd love to see one guy rebel with a different stick color.
last year you had some fandead rebelling iirc.
during the expo you also had some running around with coco swag, not sure about stick (dunno if she ever had an official color)

Kiara's already complaining that she's not going to be able to do this again for a while. At least she's getting a 3D live in LA, 50+ other talents will have to wait until next year to get a production of this quality and she's the only one bitching.

All according to keikaku.
to be fair JP still has a headstart, always had less shit to deal with thanks to the wu-flu and nip regulations. and unless the chicken wants to invest in her own setup it's either japan or ame, which is still a long ass travel in either direction.

I think Callis awkward MC session alone made it worth it - so cringe
certainly beats last year.
and I bet lot of them were still entranced by the hoshinova teasing...

Obviously, Cover is a Japanese company and the vast majority of the talents are Japanese. Kiara knew this when she signed on with the company and then failed to obtain a business visa to stay in the country. Rather than taking steps to ensure she would have every advantage, she actually took steps to distance herself from her core fanbase, the company itself and continues to this day to complain about it every chance she gets. Her hole is self-dug.

In comparison, most of the JP talents have taken steps to move closer to the main office, for example Shion and Rushia (may she not be forgotten) both moved from the countryside into Tokyo. Many of the other members have made huge strives to improve their idol activities. It wasn't that long ago when we laughed at how terrible of a singer Choco was and now she sounds polished.

Kiara's problem is that she continues to wallow in self-pity. Her stream this morning was a bitch fest about how the band was awful, the song SHE chose was a poor choice for the event and other perceived slights. She was also on stream with a Niji talent (Nina Kosaka) this morning and complained about how terrible she looked in the stream rather than introducing herself and getting over it.

If you look at the bird app, you can see that every other talent has posted nothing but positive takes on their appearance. The others take self-responsibility and admit to their own faults. But Kiara, she blames anyone but herself. Again.

It is quite fun to watch her seethe though.

eh, it's sounds like the usual venting things didn't end up exactly as expected/hoped, lots of people cope that way.

as for the advantage thing, iirc the whole visa thing was out of her control (afaik you have to be outside the country to apply for a visa or some other stupid bureaucratic crap), and moving a few hundred kilometers into the big city is far different from moving around the world (not to mention in her case she'd would have to apply for another visa somewhere closer). also all the shit beforehand in nipland, which is not an excuse but probably part of it.

I'm pretty ambivalent when it comes to the chicken, she's a women so there's always a good chance of another women moment. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I just looked it up. It’s not technically in LA. The YouTube theatre is connected to SoFi stadium in Inglewood. SoFi is where the LA Rams play. I’ve been to SoFi for a football game and the surrounding area is just as trashy as LA. It’s also the same time as Anime Expo which I’m sure is the reason for the date, to have a crossover.
Inglewood is being gentrified from the gangsta rap section 9 homicide capital to trendy hipster ipa's /w edison light bulbs bar crawl
Still, I refuse to set foot in California for this.

Hope you never meet a central European girl you like, you'll be disappointed.

I thought Shion lived with her parents like a depressed neet? I know Aqua moved to the city, is Sora the only one living at home then?

Here's hoping that Aqua sings Iro palette

I certainly hope I never meet a girl like that, I do not wish to spread my genes.

Shion and Rushia both lived in the country with their family. I think, and its been a couple years since they discussed this and the Rushia streams are obviously lost media. I believe a couple of the others used to talk about how going to the studio was a multihour trip. I think, and god I feel bad for not remembering for certain, that Aqua used to have to stay over with the others when she came into the city cause the trip was so long.

I love Aqua Iro Palette, but I hope she sings something else. She sings it all the time. :)

Getting a visa iirc is harder than it looks especially a business one, it's not like go to a VOA booth and immediately get a visa to stay in the country.

And I'd like to think the talents are classified as a freelancer, so that's a big no to class you as someone who needs a professional visa since those are generally given for highly trained business and industrial professionals.
