Furry Convention Drama - Because you can't have a couple thousand dog fucking enthusiasts under the same roof without shit hitting the fan

What's funny is TFF isn't requiring the vaccine either but haven't seen outrage over that. However they are enforcing the mask bullshit but like FC from what a friend told me, no one is gonna wear them. I'm sure they're the same people who type the garbage out you posted to virtue signal for something that doesn't protect you.

In a turn of events, FWA is not requiring the jab because of all the policies that are ending by or during May which no longer let them enforce it, so they're passing it off as having "deep talks and consideration for International guests." Furcons are finally crossing the finish line when everyone else has dropped all this shit long ago, but they gotta remind ya about getting the HECKIN' jab and the flu shot which both don't do jackshit. As for masking, they're keeping a "watch for high community levels" so they can still have a small grasp of power to control people if they see an opportunity

haha

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

God, I love the cope on display here. I feel so vindicated for speaking out against this shit two years ago. Here's hoping the rest of the furcons follow suit by the end of the year.

I crossposted the CrusaderCat stuff to his thread and added a small update in regards to him being thrown out. I'm just gonna quote the newer part I wrote here because I don't feel like re-writing it.
Fur the More put out an official statement on Twitter regarding keeping attendees safe and not tolerating bigotry; it doesn't mention Crusader by name, but when you consider he was the only person who gained any notable traction online during the convention, it's nevertheless fairly clear FtM staff were aware of the situation.

Bonus: this angry quote-tweet by some random furry (who was apparently overly mad the FtM Twitter wouldn't explicitly name-drop Crusader) and getting told to STFU by the official Twitter:

@mahahahadyne :: congrats on making it utterly infeasible for disabled and immunocompromised people to attend your con, i guess!
Every disability is different blah blah, but where is the line between "I am so disabled I can't go to any public space where someone MIGHT not have a fucking mask on" and "I am not disabled enough to NOT be able to wear a 40lb suit that takes forever to get in and out of, that you need to fully undress out of to use the washroom, that is 40 degrees on the inside and a 4lb head that impedes my vision, including total loss of peripheral vision, walking around for hours." This is even ignoring the fact that some people are going to be doing murrsuit shit which is all that + physical activity

Yeah they act like immunocompromised never existed pre-covid but we really know they don't give a shit about those that are unless it's a convince to use them as a weapon against others. Going to a furcon is a much bigger risk with all the flith that goes on. As other have said, it's a very simple solution: Don't go.

"At least mask mandate you cowards!"

Says a furry whose pfp is presumably them with their fursuit head on.

Why are Americans like this? In my country we haven't had mask mandates in over a year and I never see anyone wearing them.

Honestly, most Americans aren't like this either. At least not in my region. Most of the few I see still wearing a mask do it to feel more comfortable, are massive germaphobes that wear one on top of wearing gloves and/or a face shield, or are at the doctor's office. And even the doctor's office is becoming more lenient.

I'm sure California is still full mask mandate in some areas. Atlanta definitely wouldn't give a shit despite being one of the most liberal cities in the region, however.

God, if you’re so uncomfortable by it don’t go! No one is grabbing you by the scruff and forcing you to go to a fucking convention!

I've seen so many furry e beggars crowdfunding to attend cons when their cars are breaking down or they haven't paid rent in two months. They literally cannot comprehend that they don't have to attend. That or they don't give a shit about anything else.

It's virtue signaling, with a hint of hypochondriac. Especially considering the degenerate shit documented in this thread. Cum pizza and used diapers left strewn on con floors are a much greater public health hazard than Covid at this point. Those are the tips of the iceberg. Especially if the zoosadists are yiffing together after raping animals. God, I don't want to think about the consequences of that.

This was going to be my main point, but you beat me to it. Maybe it was a legitimate concern during the wild west days of Covid, but it's been three years. Not even old people are deathly afraid of Covid. Unless they're all Lou Gagliardi sized, HIV and other STDs are a much bigger risk for furries attending cons. That or alcohol poisoning.

Here in Canada the only places requiring masks are some doctor offices that decided, "fuck it sick people actively come to us let's make this a indefinite thing" and the only people wilfully wearing them inside are a few people in service industry who realized they don't need to put on a fake smile if they got a nice looking cloth mask with a smiling mouth or something on it so they can hiding their muttering about asshole customers more easily. Oh, and then the trolls who realized there's still militant anti-maskers who make public idiots of themselves if they see a mask.

I sometimes people watch in a few local coffee shops and a few of them have girls who wear masks for the above reasons and at least once a day I see someone publicly yelling, swearing and occasionally ACTIVELY COUGHING ON OTHER PEOPLE'S ORDERS AS IT COMES IT COMES OUT if they see a mask saying shit like "oh no I got Covid hahaha", like I wouldn't believe it if I didn't see it. Meanwhile the person wearing the mask is clearly grinning a trolls grin. These idiots then get confused why they get told they have to leave for disrupting other customers while they try to make a scene over what they think is another person's idiocy.

The only other group who I see them on are people who are currently sick, which is a nice social evolution. Sick and need to buy groceries? Put on a mask. Otherwise what's the point. A few schools here are discussing keeping masks in stock indefinitely so if a kid has a cough and the parents aren't keeping their kids home like they should be, which has been policy since the early 2000s, as a way to prevent spread. A local thrift shop uses masks as uniform, a hold over from when it was for mandate reasons, to show the current tag colour sale.

Outside they're very common on cold days. Helps combat the cold air in your lungs by keeping the heat in if you walk anywhere further than the car.

The difference with TFF versus FWA is that TFF's policy was in place before people booked hotels and flights. FWA's policy change comes two months before their event, and the ability to change plans is limited for some folks.

Other events are going to face similar issues as things go forward. However, their responses to it are going to be what's most interesting. It's already a given that TFF and Megaplex will have no enforceable policy, given their locations. Cons in more liberal areas may continue with their policies as-is, or adjust them in the face of national change.

These are furries, not American’s.
It's so much worse. These are twitter users, terminally online retards who need to move beyond 2020.

Does anyone actually think cons are going to suffer due to lack of masks? If anything, I bet more people choose not to go *because* of mandatory masking. I wonder how many of those who bitch on twitter were going to go at all.

I keep saying it: I'm pretty sure at this point they're just trying to quietly select out everyone right of Mao.

I don't really know any other event that still requires these masks, this stopped being a thing around being 2022 or something.
It's really weird to see it though, like i'm more so baffled then annoyed at this point.
Do they actually think these dingy little masks will protect immunocompromised people? This has been a thing way before any pandemic and i assume even back then if you fall under this particular category you'd take extra precautions going to any public space if not avoid them altogether, how do they protect themselves from skin contact contaminants?
Just a few seconds of thought already kind of negates the whole inclusivity aspect, why can't they at least admit that if you can easily get deathly ill from the coof due to medical conditions you should probably not be going to any crowded public space to begin with, masks or not (and the vaccines can't help with this either since you can still carry the virus despite being immune to it.)

All of this just screams chronically online to me, not surprising since most of the attendees haven't been to a regular public event or outside for that matter in weeks, i prescribe touching grass and enjoying some sunlight unless you're a britbonger in which case.. uhh.. i dunno get drunk.

Without powerleveling too hard, I went to about 10 different large events last year, including a concert, two (non-furry) conventions at a hotel, and a furry-adjacent event. With the exception of the furry event, not a single event made me put on a mask or provide any proof of vaccination.

One furry contact I have sperged hard over FWA's no-vax policy, and I calmly tried to explain to them they were overexaggerating. It just resulted in trying to make more mental gymnastics. It's like they literally can not grasp the concept that while getting vaccinated will lessen the symptoms if they get sick, it does absolutely nothing if they're around someone sick, vaccinated or not.

My theory is that the masks are basically the left equivalent of maga hats. By enforcing mask rules this long after the coof they're trying to insure the event is left biased. Folks who are strongly anti mask are less likely to attend, and those who do must bend the knee and put on the temple garment.

It also has the side effect of helping to cover manly troon jaws and 5 o'clock shadow, so thr trannies are also reluctant to give up their masks too.

If I was a gambler, I'd bet furries are still simping for masks in 2025.

That's exactly my thing. They're making sure they can exclude all those who might think different.

What would a furry convention (in this care FurnalEquinox) be without public nudity, public intoxication and a hint of sexual assault?

One reaction so far is very telling:

Wow, if only everyone could be so cool about being sexually assaulted, we'd be in the same perfect world!

Wouldn't suprise me if this was the same guy featured here:
