translation from reddit comment

Man) we have only seen you on the TV so many times.
Putin) It's ok, we can start getting to know each other here.
Another man) You just been in Crimea, we just seen on TV and now already here, never expected this. I guess such is work.
Putin) And all of you live here?
Crowd) "Bunch of confirmations"
Putin) Do you like it?
Crowd) Again confirmations including "Modern" ,"warm and nice", "all is good" "Thank you"
First man) by the way my Birthday is 15 days after yours, also 70 years old, and was with nothing left.
Woman jokingly interjects) and now with everything
same Man) and now they given me an Apartment.
Video cuts there

Putin is chatting with locals and walks into an old man's flat

Checking out the university/theatre?

-I don't go in with you, I don't carry a gun.
- I drive

New ZALA Lancet vid - striking a loaded RM-70 Vampire (Czechoslovakian 122mm MLRS) donated by Czechs. Avdiivka direction. No sound in this clip (most RU telegrams released it with the same as this lancet hit).
Ah, cool! So those are in theater! I always liked the RM-70 - though again, I was that autistic kid that was always fascinated by the Eastern Bloc weapons and vehicles.

The Czechs last year also apparently donated several 152mm Dana wheeled self-propelled howitzers.

I know this is just propaganda, but Putin driving around, talking with people is so much friendlier optics than when Biden goes to Kiev, blasting the sirens, and acting all huffy and important. He presents a human as a leader, not some unreachable asshole.
It's probably about half propaganda half real. You have to remember, Putin is a KGB trained operative. It's not like his security detail is dealing with someone who needs constant babysitting. He does have a generally good idea of low and high risk situations.
It's a funny video but one of the things which you notice when you pay attention is that Putin actually is one of the first people in the room to notice the crazy feminists in this and the fact that he isn't startled in the slightest means he probably had noticed them way before his security detail did.

Xi visits Kremlin tomorrow. National Security Council spokesman John Kirby:

"What we have said before, and we’ll say it again today, that if coming out of this meeting, there’s some sort of call for a ceasefire, well, that’s just going to be unacceptable"

It's frankly about time they drop the whole "supporting Ukraine" lie and just come out and say that it's a US vs Russia war with US generals dictating Ukrainian troops and the state dept deciding every move. Not that it'll change anything.

The blatancy of the Kirby statement really reminds me of the Nuland phone call in 2014 - barring future developments I'd say this is the biggest 'Nuland moment' of the war so far with just openly saying that the US controls and decides all for Ukraine; there is no 'independent ' or even 'puppet' state.

Well gee, John, you chucklefucks have already managed to allow China to score a massive diplomatic coup as a peacemaker between Iran and Saudi Arabia - you know, that one country that controls a chunk of the world's oil production and was also one of our key allies in the ME before you idiots declared jihad on them because they were friends with the Bad Orange Man?

Maybe if you don't want China to be able to position itself as a peacemaker, you could try using our own leverage to do that yourselves? Oh, but doing that would require you make a change in policy course, and that would basically mean admitting that you were wrong this whole time, wouldn't it? And that's just plain unacceptable to you, isn't it? Who cares if doing so might actually be the best move to recover America's prestige or save Ukraine as a functioning state or end the needless slaughter of thousands of men, it would mean that those fucking chuds on Twitter would win!

Given the fact he is EX-KGB its a safe bet he has several hundred times the experience of his own body guards, not too shocking he notices stuff first. What's the chances Putin carries a gun on him everywhere he goes?

Why do you think that every KGB agent was James Bond? Most were just paper pushers and translators.
I never said every KGB agent was a super spy, but as for Putin its more about how he handles himself, i have never seen a world leader give as little of a shit as him, you look at him in videos and can just tell he knows his shit, hell he went into a fucking warzone with what looks like minimal security. (though there was 100% more security around him, just not visible on camera)
I can respect a leader who doesn't radiate corrupt pedophile energy, even if i know nothing about his actual politics.

Assad did the same thing a few years ago, drove himself into the warzone and puzted about a bit. The areas selected were almost certainly screened in advance by his detail and he was briefed on most threats. Putin obviously is not a slouch when it comes to his personal safety, the guy had to resort to being a taxi driver after the Soviet Union fell apart and that was while he was working for the Mayor of St. Petersburg, that is how shit the country had become in the very early 1990s. Anyone doing taxi work has to grow a sixth sense to keep themselves safe from drug addicts, drunks and violent criminals.

While not definitive proof, I remember seeing something about how Putin has a specific gait while walking referred to as "gunslinger gait" where the walker still naturally swings their non-dominant arm while walking, but their draw arm doesn't swing so it can stay close to the gun at all times. Not something that a paper pusher would have ingrained into their gait, imo.

He's got the common touch, which is surprising, usually he alternates between Bond villain and turbo-oligarch with ease. Videos where he's speaking to groups of citizens tend to be executed pretty well, it's hard to catch him off guard or appearing to be his age or anything less than statesmanlike. Very respectable public persona, pretty charismatic. Probably the main reason why his public image is so predetermined in the west, if you listen to the guy, his evil spell will certainly fall on you.
