I go to their web site, put in more information about my household than I think they need before they can ask me about my driving habits, and at the end, they tell me to download the DoT's app, make sure location tracking is turned on, and then complete the survey using the app. You built a web site just to direct me to an app? Just make the survey available on the web site! I need a front-end alignment and four new rims every spring because you incompetent retards can't fix the potholes, but you have enough money to develop an app? An app for a state department of transportation, which desperately needs my permission to track my location? Are you fucking insane? That my tax money paid some H1B visa holder to design a web site to direct me to an app for the fucking department of transportation is utterly infuriating.

Not actually pissing me off, but more of an annoying thing to be aware of: the meanings of a lot of metaphors seem to be lost to many or most, be they stories, expressions, etc.

Eg; "I Know an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly". I recall it being metaphorical about issues arising with medications causing side effects that you'd need to take another med for with side effects you'd need another med for, etc etc etc. 'I don't know why she started taking that first faulty med, I guess she'll die.' Last I checked, the story was also neutered by changing "I don't know why she swallowed a fly, I guess she'll die" with something nonsensical that inverts the message completely and basically turns the story's message into 'pop all the pills, it can't hurt you'; "I know an old lady who swallowed a horse. She's dead, of course" was changed into something like "I know and old lady who swallowed a horse. She's fine, of course".

I can't help but wonder how often I use phrases and sentiments or how many stories I'm aware of that I don't know the roots and actual contexts of and don't even notice.
