This guy claims to be Microsoft customer support? Specifically Xbox? Oh shit finally my useless knowledge finally comes into use.

Microsoft outsources customer service for Xbox to call centers like Teleperformance, from there they relay to the associated department if necessary but 90% of the time calls are handled by these outsourced workers reading off of a script. They do get some Microsoft benefits but they aren't directly employed by Microsoft nor do they have access to direct Microsoft systems outside of what is necessary for their jobs. They take down complaints about players, they handle account information, they answer basic questions but otherwise do not have special privileges within the company.

Microsoft has always outsourced their customer service. He likely got paid $12 an hour TOPS while working there. These jobs don't pay well and they have a high turnover rate, because it's a call center and they have several projects all on the same floor.
