The Ukrainians are being bled white. From what I've gleaned from various forums and the occasional unbiased (and usually independent) news reports, they're throwing 15- and 16-year-old kids and middle-aged men into the frontlines after two or three weeks of slipshod training. Life expectancy for new recruits is measured in hours. The US can supply them with all the munitions and weaponry an army could want, but the numbers don't lie or care.

The ground will be hard soon and the Russians will take it out of the trenches and go on the offensive. That's when the real slaughter begins.

OK, so this is a country specific post. First, questions:

@Pocket Dragoon : For the Ukrainian drone bombing videos, the bombs themselves seem rather small and weak (there isn't much land displacement when they explode, for example) but it seems to kill the targets pretty effectively. What am I missing that is making these drops so lethal?

@ChadBrazilian : In Brazil, it seems like there is, in a sense, a lot more "responsible" gun ownership than I think people would give credit to a country as developed as Brazil i.e. people willing to shoot criminals they see in the streets even if they're not directly involved in the crime and also criminals seeming to ONLY shoot their target, not witnesses. What do you chalk this up to? Would you say there is a lot more "honor" (for lack of a better word) in Brazil than, say, Mexico? Are there big pushes for citizens to "take back the streets"? Is there a lot of police corruption we're just not seeing?

@Astro Galactic Megalul : In Russia, what causes these impatient people to pass on one-lane roads despite VIDEO AFTER VIDEO of people dying? Drunkenness, bad driving habits, or what?

-Motorcycle accidents

Mexico/Latin America:
-Cartel killings

Russia:
-Suicides
-Dumb drivers getting what they deserve plus killing others

Islamic Shitholes:
-Terrorist shit including beheadings
-War stuff
-Accidental shootings at celebrations

A 41-year-old employee of the Autonomous Service of Water and Sewage (Saae) São Carlos (São Paulo state) was murdered by a co-worker, on the morning of Wednesday (22). The suspect fled after the crime.

According to the municipality, the suspect, M.C.M., 44, waited for the victim, I.G.S., 41, who was on a motorbike, to arrive and drove the backhoe into him.

S. lost control, hit a car, fell, and then M. drove the backhoe over the body before using its arm to strike S. After this, he fled.

The motive for the crime is unknown. In 2014, they were reported to have fought in a car park for undisclosed reasons. Both were punished with a 30-day suspension

That's a good point. My family has a military tradition going back to the Civil War. No way would I encourage a young family member to enlist while our new Woke Army flies the rainbow flag.

Comes to that, I'm now as anti-war as any 60's-era hippy, albeit for different reasons than the bullshit phony peace and love pacifism they espoused. War is a racket.
