That plus the endless rounds of appeals and legal chicanery mean that it’s taken this long. If he could stretch it to when he’s a presidential candidate again, then once again proceedings would become stalled.

The guy has never faced a consequence in his life but there is this very short window where shit might just happen.

I don't think being a presidential candidate provides immunity from prosecution, he's already an announced candidate as well so if it does maybe there's some sort of time frame around it that you could elucidate us on. You also seems to be aware of multiple other charges that could be pursued but are being delayed until there is a charge, maybe conviction? in the hush money case. Could you help me understand why this? I would expect that the strongest most significant charge would be prioritized, maybe there's some strategic or legal reasoning behind this decision that you know about.
