I see that this guy lives in Renton, WA. For those that don't know King County where Renton resides is consider to be the nerd capital of of the Pacific Northwest. It is home to Wizards of the Coast, Xbox, Vale, and Nintendo of America as well as many game dev studios like Sucker Punch. My guess is that Shame moved to King County in order to inflate his credentials as a genius nerd who is wanted by all these gaming companies.

One of the first things that came to mind reading this thread was that he seems like the sort of guy to try to set himself up as an expert in some niche community. So I poked around.

It appears Shane was active in 2007 and 2008 in a few newsgroups, primarily for Microsoft Windows. I believe these newsgroups were moderated, so nothing too spicy, but the behavior is consistent with the tough guy we see on Twitter today.
