First and foremost - Ian did a documentary with Sam Hyde, allowed this to be filmed and therefore risked showing Sam Hyde to a YouTube audience, with all the unpredictability and non-PC that goes with that. It was not a worry then, and I guarantee it is not a worry now.

Additionally, Sam Hyde has already appeared on what was arguably a bigger card and while he was unpredictable, it is fair to say his behaviour and the spectacle that it brought was actually a hit. Hyde isn't a retard, it's clear he knows just how far he can push things in public - okay, saying he was coming for Hasan Piker live on air after his fight was maybe going a tad too far, but it was also fucking hilarious, I couldnt believe what I was hearing, and that is what you expect in combat sports.

Anyway, instead of having Sam as the subject of the documentary, Sam managed to make it Ian and in doing so exposed him as someone who was just intending to find weirdos to humiliate for clicks (a great pastime, but when you are also a moralising f-slur like Ian or Ethan Klein, this has to be done with plausible deniability)- this has made Ian incredibly mad, to the point where I think he truly resents Sam for making such a fool of him.

Plus, you could go into his training with Epic Meal Time, it was funny and hardly controversial. In fact, I think the most controversial part was when Sam and Epic Meal Time managed to make a holocaust joke somehow sound wholesome.

Normal people, I like to think, when going to film Sam Hyde would have realised it was a joke and tried to enjoy themselves and embrace it, or accept that Sam had one over on them - like Epic Meal Time did - but since the fame has gone straight to Ian's head, he is incapable of the sort of introspection that would allow that. He's too much of a narcissistic woman to just squash the beef, and his BPD husband probably influences this too, because it's clear she's a weird vindictive type.
