But here's the kicker, alright. When I post a YouTube comment I open the same video in an incognito tab and sort by newest to see if my comment is visible, and more often than not it won't be visible on the incognito tab, which means it's not gonna be visible for anyone but me. And sometimes it's so aggressive it even disappears for me on a logged in account. And I know for sure it's the algo since when I post a very simple comment that's the least likely to be filtered it does show up.

It's not only the YT algo, they also have a report function for comments everybody can use.
As an example, if you see a YT comment with one or more missing replies it really might be that other users have reported a comment which is highly likely as YT right now has a massive pajeet scam bot problem in their comment sections.
The content creator also has the ability to sort of shadow ban users from commenting which means that the user who wrote the comment can see it but nobody else, they also just can delete your comment or outright ban you from their channel.
Is this system open for abuse by other users or content creators themselves? Fucking yes it is.

Yes, channel owners can shadowban you, and I know it happened to my account on channels like LGR, 3kliksphilip, Tom Scott or Louis Rossmann, where with Louis' channel I think what happened is some chat janny banned me from the live chat but it counts as a channel wide shadow ban since Louis did respond to my various comments and he's not the type of guy to shadowban someone he simply disagrees with. However that's the second layer of comment filtration, the topmost that does the most damage is the YT algo.
