I do find it telling media was much more willing to acknowledge the shooter's actual sex than with most male trans offenders. Few factors at play, I think. One, and I think the biggest, violent crime from women is much rarer, and thus more sensational, and that trumps ideological signalling. Two, it makes it look like violent offending rates for males and females are totally close, man, and thus it's not remarkable at all when a dick in a dress corners a nine year old in the girls toilet. Three, nobody gives a shit about "trans guys."

I've read...and I'd like if someone can post the exact stats...that MtF are far more common than FtM. Probably (my opinion not the stats anymore) because kids are picking up on all the male bashing in the media.

that would be correct but also because of innate troon tendency to suicide it makes more sense than most of older trannies are men (since FtMs weren't really that common until like half a decade ago), additionally there is a significant (among trannies) group of older men who transition late in their life
