As much as you want to believe you have control over everything and can "do something" for everything, you can't just legislate your way to a perfect world with no violence or death or crime. If we just pass more laws and take away more rights we'll get there eventually, right? People who wanna go on a killing spree will just drive a car through a playground. OK, we'll ban cars too? They'll go strangle kids one by one if they have to. In places like Europe and Japan, people still go on child killing stabbing sprees, with improvised weapons because even butter knives are illegal.
"Well, if banning guns would stop even ONE of these events, it would be worth it!" If the goal is to stop bad things from happening at ANY cost, it'd statistically be more productive to ban blacks and autists than guns.

I haven't been through the last 60 pages yet but, having just seen the body-worn video, and having been a significant detractor of the Texas response, let me just say that it's gratifying to see the police here act exactly as they are trained to do.
These guys looked like regular patrol officers. They probably woke up thinking they would pull over a few stop-sign violations, maybe handle a burglary after the fact. Yet, within seconds of arriving, they formed a group of three and went in there and started going through the active shooter protocol. Then, upon hearing shots, they immediately headed in that direction. When they saw the shooter, they ended the threat. And they made fucking sure.
All of that is textbook response, although the text in question might use... euphemism to describe those final shots. Every second that a school shooter is alive, they're not only a threat, but they're taking up time. Time that could be spent looking for a potential second shooter. Time that could be spent trying to provide medical assistance to the wounded.
It's good that they didn't have a fat chief trying to order people around without so much as his radio.

I’ve been asking myself too, what will be the breaking point for conservatives to start pushing back and rioting because leftists will riot over anything and conservative people literally seem like pussies who are never going to stand up and will just continue to take shit. It's a societal problem. Ignoring the present-day rise of the troon shooter, most school shooters are cis white males. There are 3 main reasons why they kill:
1. Bullying - They've been treated like shit their whole lives and want revenge
2 Mental illness - self-explainatory
3 The Despair shooter - this one is a bit more complicated. Basically they have nothing going on in their lives - they are losers. They have on friends, girls reject them, their family is apathetic towards them so they give in to despair and decide to go out in the most heinous way possible.
How do we fix this? The solution is simple and elegant, yet almost impossible: kindness, outreach, being thoughtful when you come across someone in your life that is having a hard time. A little goes a long way. However in our modern-day culture where everyone is so insular, I see this as an unrealistic goal, which means the burden shifts back to the potential shooter themselves to fix themselves. Gun control ain't gonna fix shit, that's for sure.

This is a country where the gay population doubles every generation, where autism and ADHD diagnoses go up 50% every 5 years, and 13% of the population commits 50%+ of violent crimes every year. You didn't have school shootings in the 1950s when everyone could buy a tommy gun without a license, but you have them now in the age of overmedication of children, gay propaganda on every TV channel, and niggers running rampant without paying child support and gettin dat welfare nigga.
Don't blame guns, Czechia has a 2nd Amendment, point to their shootings. Germany has historically always permitted private gun ownership even of automatic weapons, point to their school shootings before 1970. You cannot.

I'm not even an Amerifag or gun owner/enthusiast but its stupid to focus on the guns when the issue in this specific case is clearly the troon. Remember that troon in Australia who starting attacking people with an axe because a girl turned him down? Yeah, no gun there, guess what, the troon psychosis still won out.
I'm not arguing that gun access is never an issue or a contributing factor, I'm saying that we need to address the reality: in order to be a troon in the first place you MUST be extremely mentally ill, and then you are placed on very effective hormonal drugs and your delusions + narc ego are affirmed by all of society. In this particular case, it's really not about the gun, because if Audrey was not radicalized by an insane cult that encouraged her paranoid schizophrenia and gave her access to dangerous amounts of testosterone, she would never have had reason to shoot or harm anyone.
I know nuance is hard on the Internet but c'mon guys. We've all been talking about the trans genocide hysteria and 'arm trans people' rhetoric, and how it would inevitably lead to something like this, and now it has. It's not about the guns, it's about the fact that an extremely unhinged, mentally unstable, and violent group of people is being radicalized towards violence and told that the entire world is out to get them and they must fight back. Whether they have guns or not, that is a fucking scary world to have to live in alongside these people and pretend like they're not threats to society.
