It has intrigued me for years why they always talk about "the Right" when it comes to pushback against their views, because it isn't just the Right that disagrees with them. Small tinfoil here. Went to Christian school myself. In the obit, says Sydney was baptized at age 9. The kids who were murdered were aged 9. I wonder if some sick twisted savior complex came into play- a lot of Christians believe in the 'Age of Innocence' where if you die before you are baptized and are a child younger than around 13, you will be sent to Heaven rather than Hell. I was baptized around that age too and it was a big deal about growing into the faith and surrendering to the Lord etc etc. I wonder if the school generally had that religious take and the murderer wanted to 'save' the kids from hell before they passed into the age of accountability, promising them a place in Heaven?

She had a list of targets that included a mall and her family, so no, I don’t think there was a particular savior complex thing at play, I think she just took the easiest route. Little kids and some elderly who she wasn’t personally attached to but who attended or worked at a school she resented attending because mom and dad are assholes.
