It doesn't surprise me that Eva wants a life-sized doll. I pretty much assumed that he already had one or at least a body pillow. You know, since he already wasted his money on a boob mouse pad.

The fact that he needs to buy a life-sized doll though, that baffles me.
He whines about girls not flirting with him, then he does this. Maybe if he wasn't so creepy and he didn't drool over underaged, anime girls then maybe he'd stand a chance.

He's 28, right? That takes creepy to a whole new level.

That girl isn't the rival, anyway. He put in the actual rival but because the game is not a game, she's still somehow going to profess it.

It was the Orange hair Miku rip off. He took an actual good design and model and changed it so that it wouldn't be so hard on him to do. Without removing said character. So that girl will just stay there while she has a replacement.

So why doesn't SHE end up getting the treatment?
And that's why I'm asking why the hell he doesn't bother using that character as his test model. Or why doesn't he just remove her and replace her with one of the other pre-existing characters like Kokona.

Oh right, it's because he's too busy adding pointless Easter eggs and trying to break the game further than actually doing anything useful.

Oh come on! he already made the available mod unplayable. I guess my mistake was recently downloading the June 29th build rather than on the 29th. I wanted to run around as Oka /end sperging.

If he's talking about one of those silicone dolls they are VERY expensive (I think the range is $3k-$9k?)...your paytron bux at work folks! There are also plush ones which are a little less (think those brony fuck hole ponies but a human instead) ether way I hope he is smart enough to keep it clean when bringing it out in public.

But what I am picturing is that one picture that was shared some time ago in one of the chans, it was one of those "love body" dolls along with so many accessories + the receipt showing the money spent to make this sex toy look "real" something that would be on wizardchan I think cause it was supposed to be a "2d girlfriend made real" or something

:julay:

To be honest I'm surprised he didn't have one already.

Though of course he wants to spring for the pricey life sized dolls, and not the cheaper onaholes/fleshlights other wizards invest in.

Its a tough decision. The money could go to hiring a freelance professional, but you know fetishes have to come first.

I think he will drop the project next year, his situation hasn't improved and his patreon has been struggling to stay at the 5,000 goal.
If you thinks its a shit show now imagine what it would be like if he lasted until 2019

Okay so I went on the stream I just said "Has YandereDev ever spoke to mike since the day he had a "fight" with him ?" and got banned :(

mention anything about mike will rile him up. Lab Zero had a panel and a booth set up at Anime expo, that probably only fueled his jealousy. He said he "resolved our differences" with Mike. But I can guarantee you won't be seeing any Skull Girls or Indivisible easter egg mods.

The more I learn about Eva, the more I pity the volunteers who have to associate with him.

This is the kind of person they're wasting their time and effort on. It's fucking hilarious, but also really depressing when you think about it.
Many of them are those that have a gift and it's been wasted on him. The others are just starting and him attacking them constantly might make them stop entirely. To tell someone their work isn't good enough and remind them of that constantly, as he repeatedly says it in each video, just does not help the person just attempting to break into the art industry. Or just trying to be an artist

Given the """quality""" of his current assets, it's pretty rich to be honest. Obviously we haven't seen the kind of stuff that the volunteers are producing, but I'd be surprised if they were much worse than what he's currently using. Even if they were, I'd prefer a game I was making to be using assets designed specifically for it rather than store-bought content or stuff taken from modders. It would give the game so much more soul.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if he was rejecting stuff purely because they didn't have torpedo tits, giant drills and pink hair or whatever his latest fetish is.

If they were terribly bad, he'd show some of them. That's the weird part. They're probably not bad at all, he just wants perfectionism

Okay, I was looking around the wiki and I think it's been mentioned here that he downloaded some 'succubus' assets from the Unity store, but I only just got round to checking them out and they're, uh, something.

This one only shows up the pointless Castlevania minigame as 'Dracula-chan,' but he reused the same model for the Lust Demon in the Demonic Ritual bit of the game, which is activated by taking the knife from the skull in the Occult Club's room, using it to kill a student, and then putting it back in the skull. The player meets two ostensibly male demons (one with a flaming head and one with a fucked up body) and the Lust Demon:

The Flame Demon is the love interest in that visual novel that's recently been mentioned, but does nothing in the actual game. The Pain Demon serves as an Easter Egg activator of sorts, and the Lust Demon does shit all. The Castlevania minigame and the demon rituals are so hamfisted that it's obvious he saw the succubus assets in the store and had to find a way to put them in the game even though it makes no sense and is a huge waste of time. But why make real progress when you can add in schoolgirl anime tiddies.

The body base for that is also used for one of the students. Sakyu Basu to be exact. It's another crappy pun. Asking why he constantly puts in things that serve very little use in the game is beating a dead horse by now.

He wants praise for using "good" assets rather than spending time making "unique and passable" ones.

Reactions: ActualKiwi
Yandere Simulator has a TVTropes page.

Berserk Button: Meta example. YandereDev has zero patience for anyone wasting his time or calling him out for things about which they know little to nothing. While he already had a reputation for poor attitude stretching back to his Let's Play days, he had been trying to improve himself, but tens of thousands of stupid emails and stupider comments have sapped away what little sanity he had left.
  • His April 2016 video explaining the email issue (again) came right out and said that he found it increasingly difficult to be friendly, and half-apologized for his rudeness.
  • When he finally got tired of hundreds of "bug reports" involving 3rd-party mods, he inserted a bit of code to disable the popular "Size Mod"* , inserting a Kill Screen and Wall of Text rant explaining it. This in turn caused fans who liked the mod to flip out. One of those fans posted an video comparing Dev to larger video game companies like Nintendo that "try to stifle individual creativity". Dev discovered it and, after defending his decision to nuke the mod, told the Youtuber to "Go stick [his] dick in a beehive."

Acceptable Targets:
  • Video and streaming sites - namely Twitch and YouTube - with draconian censorship policies, Byzantine rules of conduct, double standards in implementing both, and no way to contact site administration or dispute rulings. YandereDev is not happy that he and his fans have been flagged and banned due to the game's Panty Shotmechanic. The Censor Steam nudity is a direct Take That to such things, which has itself ironically has led to some Let's Players' videos being flagged.
Banned From Streaming:
  • YandereDev's video explaining the panty-shot mechanic was flagged for inappropriate content. He reuploaded it withTake That censorship, and the incident inspired him to add Censor Steam-obscured nudity to the game as a furtherTake That. However, the frequency of inadvertent panty-shots due to the Dangerously Short Skirts and even theCensor Steam-obscured nudity have led to other Youtubers' videos being age-restricted – and thus unable to earn revenue – because prudish or trollish users flag them for inappropriate content.
  • The game upset someone at Twitch.tv and has been banned from appearing on the site at all. YandereDev has reached out to them to try and figure out what precisely is so offensive in his game that other Western games which ARE allowed lack, to see if it's something he might consider changing, but thus far Twitch's people have been unwilling to communicate.

Fan Dumb: As the fanbase for the game has grown, it has become increasingly unruly.
  • Marginally positive example. When in April 2016, Dev complained (yet again) about the absurd volume of useless emails he receives, this time giving some numbers, many fair-weather fans reacted angrily, and Dev ended up getting 300+ more emails than he usually does. However, nearly all of those were messages encouraging him and cheering him on. He thanked fans for their well-wishes… and then asked that they please not do that again.

Creator Breakdown:

  • By July 2015, the incessant stream of unhelpful emails from fans, combined with YandereDev's lack of an efficient system to handle messages, nearly caused him to snap. As something of a coping mechanism, he created Midori Gurin, a Take That to all the people who ask/suggest things he deems idiotic. Her dossier states that she constantly annoys her teachers by asking dumb questions, and Dev himself describes her as "very very stupid" while going out of his way to insult, berate, belittle, and (often) murder her. She's not meant to be liked. Moreover, she spends most of her time alone on the school rooftop… next to a bunch of items specifically used for murder and cleanup. If some of his videos are any indication, this is so she can be killed easily with no witnesses.
Dear Negative Reader:
  • The last couple blog posts have been this to the Vocal Minority who don't support his proposal for a skirt inventory system for one reason or another.

Troubled Production:
  • He also admitted that between working on the game, reading fanmail, and sleeping, he hasn't had time to watch anime or play video games (except for that two-week break he took to play Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain).

I actually thought he just stole that outfit off of MMD.

Bet my right hand he's the one who wrote the article.

And I'll bet he used one of his hands to jerk it to Quiet in her cell on Motherbase.

The visual novel I mentioned is a fan-made game by a Portuguese developer with more talent than (and no ties to) YandereDev. The Flame Demon doesn't feature in that. He is, however, the primary focus of "Burning Love," which was made by Yandere Chan's voice actress, as she also happens to write visual novel games. I believe it was made as a joke (April Fools, if I recall correctly) and although it's pretty dumb it's at least not simply blatant fanservice and in-your-face fetish junk. I don't know why that young woman volunteers for Alex at all. In fact, I hope she's not volunteering. He best be paying her. You know, with currency. Let's hope. :P

You mean like Yandere Chan's entire house (plus basement/torture chamber)? I'm fairly sure I read earlier in this thread that those particular asset packs were made in MMD by someone else entirely and then inserted into YanSim - without Alex taking credit for em, but also without actually mentioning the source. Please correct me if I'm wrong though - I would not at all be surprised if YandereDev utilises MMD assets, but I also don't want to go off about someone stealing if it's not actually true. ;)

That would explain why half the characters look the way they do. Half of them, at least, look like MMD models that were default.

Though...I got to say, if that's the case, this is shit tier for the system considering.
