The only good news I have seen from AI so far is some artist fags came up with a technique to add a "noise" to a image. It looks perfectly normal to human eyes, but the noise destroys the A.I. ability to understand it and makes straight up poisons the data set of the AI making anything they generate end up looking like garbage if even a single "poisoned" image enters the data set.

I unironically pray this shit makes deep fakes easy to check for and at least allows for some sort of checking.

You won't be that lucky I think.

Thus begins the cat and mouse game to train AIs to recognize "poisoned" images, and then making images more and more "poisoned" until they resemble deep-fried memes

So let me get this straight chat. GPT is going to be banned around the same time as this media circus involving Trump right? Coincidence okay. Nothing to see here. Just go back to sleep
Especially since its just public fluff. Nobody can stop it at this point. Simply put, the research, techniques and understanding are already out there, into the open source community. ChatGPT may be ahead of the open source community due to their sheer data set sizes, but its nothing time and autistic effort won't solve. Trying to make an entire category of programming illegal, a category primarily driven by computer super autists, is going to just accelerate its development, not restrict it.

Pretty much already solved - While rando's training models to generate furry porn may be pulling from random artist uploads on websites, all the serious models out there are generally licensing access to mass repositories of content like stock photo sites and other such known tagged, qualitative data. Other entire services are standing themselves up specifically to have an army of pajeets tag down images for AI training, and identifying 'poisoned' data is as simple as a one-off trained data model that can ballpark thumbs up/down with a err on caution - Your not trying to scrape out every last possible image, your trying to validate and verify 20,000 of them as cheaply as possible. Throwing out a couple hundred extra for being 'a bit to close to maybe manipulated' is basically at no cost.

For anyone who cares, nothing they get will be poisoned in the first place.

Trying to ban GPT is only gonna make it worse. Tech is already out there and code is out for dozens of institutes and it only takes one tiny breech for it to escape. Even if it works and it gets banned many projects already exist similar to it and the theoretical know-how also is out there.

It's like trying to ban the printing press or alcohol. It doesn't work.

It would buy us some time until Moore's law catches up to try and brute force it.

I wonder if this means a return to physical media in the future. Digital images that are a few dozens megabytes in size but need to be transferred in chips with a capacity for a dozen gigabytes to handle thousands upon thousands of layers of "encryption noise" that secures it as a image of real life and not just a deep fake.

If Bootijudge helps them right away, it will make the East Palestine debacle look even worse. If leaves them to burn, then it compounds onto the East Palestine debacle and will make Bootijudge look even worse. That's my stance on it anyways.
Minnesotans should follow Brock Lesnar's lead and move to the Canadian mountainside

At this point, my money is on "He shows up to help them but forgets to bring anything other than a press event team". Trying to weasel word it that he totally did come when they had a disaster sounds like exactly the kinda bullshit we'd see in clown world.
