Greene County man sentenced to 3,000 years for sex crimes against children - NSFL, viewers very heavily advised.

Pennsylvania man has been sentenced in a Greene County children's sex crimes case.

Matthew Perry, of Greensboro, was convicted last November on 13,143 felony counts of sex crimes against children, including 2,190 counts of rape of a child under the age of 13

Perry was sentenced to 3,000 years in prison. The earliest possible date for parole is 3523.

“I am proud to announce Matthew Perry would have to live for 3000 years in order to pay his debt to society, and now I would like to get back to fulfilling my promise to the people of my community to continue cleaning up the corruption in Greene County,” District Attorney David Russo said in a statement.

After taking office, Russo reviewed the case, and the decision was made to charge one count of rape of a child for every day the child was raped.

"The child was raped over and over and over again," Russo said in an interview with Pittsburgh's Action News 4 Tuesday night. "So why wouldn't you prosecute the one count for every single time the child was raped."

The child was raped at least once a day for six years.

I have few questions firstly why the fuck americans dont have the firing squads for any crime that needs more than 30 years sentence?

Secondly how the fuck this creep got access to children to rape every day . The article doesn't say how. Did he kidnapped them? Adopt them? Buy them on the black market?
article says
"The child was raped at least once a day for six years."
singular child, not multiple, so my guess is that he probably had a foster kid living with him, or maybe it was the kid of a girlfriend he lived with

A whole bunch of people: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_...#Prisoners_not_sentenced_to_life_imprisonment

My personal favorite is the dude who got ~2200 years, appealed his sentence, and had another ~9000 years added on, because fuck that guy in particular.

I think this one is my favorite I've read so far.

"Yeah maybe we were a little rash with your sentence, lets knock uhhhh 500 years off there, how's that?"

Most states either don't have capital punishment (either at all or they repealed the statue) or the law is on the books but has been suspended. In most cases capital punishment is only used in cases where there's a capital crime such as aggravated murder. Raping a child is definitely an extremely evil offense but if it's not defined as a capital offense you can't seek the death penalty for it.

PA to my knowledge has the death penalty but I think it's been suspended for a while now.
I remember some movie or show where the pedophile was given a year for each cp pic he had in his computer. And he had thousands.

This guy's not gonna make it alive as soon as the rest of inmates find out what he did. Even the worse murderers have children.
He'll be in protective custody from the day he arrives until the day he dies. Basically solitary confinement, he'll probably never even see another inmate.

Come to think of it, I wonder if he'll go to the same prison as Nick Bate? IIRC, that prison has a specific sex offender wing or something similar.

Because the death penalty can only be used for murder and treason according to the Supreme Court. I'm not digging up the ruling on it, because that case was even more fucked up than this one and I don't want to see it again.

Would he go to the same place Josh Duggar is at? IIRC, that prison is just for sex offenders.

While I have to admit it's tempting to want some kind of grisly execution for him, the fact is he'll be spending the rest of his life in total isolation and mortal fear for his life, completely hated by everyone he will ever interact with. No future, no hope, no happiness, no peace, just unending suffering until death.
Bro it's an American prison and he's a pedophile. He's got three years to live, tops.

Not to mention that treason was very specifically defined in the Constitution as it was, at the time, a very popular tool in the hands of tyrants, who would call literally anything "treason" if they felt like it.

Of course now the same is done with "terrorism" and "racism" and other buzzwords, but the founders weren't perfect.

I mean Nick Bate's still alive, hard to believe it's been seven years now.

Prisoners that are at risk of violence such as sex offenders are put into protective custody or in a specific wing designed to house them away from other inmates. Pedophiles aren't getting shanked like it's an episode of OZ...it can still happen but it's very uncommon. It is very bad for the safety of the prison staff if the prisoners are able to commit acts of violence against each other (or worse obtain or make weapons), not to mention potential lawsuits and legal costs.

Other than the lifers, most other prisoners' #1 goal is to get out of prison as soon as possible.

We should all be able to agree that this is actually something that is a valuable contribution of Wikipedia to society.

Edit: I like the cut ,of Thailand's gib. 141078 years for fraud.

Oh wait, paroled after 8. Fuck those soft on crime pussies.

At what point does ‘multiple life sentences they’ll never live long enough to serve’ not translate into “kill the fucker and bury them under the prison”? How the fuck can anyone argue this subhuman shitheel deserves to live and not be taking the piss?

Reminder that Ruth Bader Ginsberg was part of the majority that struck down the death penalty for child rape.

I'm happy to pay taxes for a piece of shit to suffer for a lifetime over a quick non-painful execution. 99% of people would take a needle over 90+ years in the joint.

I'm not. I don't care if it's quick or if we use this piece of shit to rediscover the old secrets for keeping an impaled person alive for days before finally letting them die. The fact that he's getting 3 hots and a cot for the rest of his natural life is far, far, far better than he deserves.

How 'bout a compromise?

Bring back the oubliette and toss him in one, then forget about him except for ensuring there's water dripping in periodically so he doesn't die of thirst in three days. He 'lives' a torturous existence measured in weeks, starving to death in the darkness, and then his pre-dug grave can be filled with cement and left unmarked.
