I could see Chris' fate going three ways:

I could see a troll convincing Chris to attempt suicide when a visible comet comes by. There's generally a great comet about once a decade. He'd probably still fuck up suicide somehow, using an ineffective overdose or magical means of suicide, and remain alive. Even if he used actual poison someone would report a half dead clown underneath a bridge and he'd get picked up and have his stomach pumped.

Thinking about comets, I recalled Sozin's Comet from Avatar: The Last Airbender. This is a comet that makes firebenders stronger, so I'm sure Chris could be convinced a real comet does something similar to him. I checked the CWCki to see if Chris watched ATLA, but he's actually only watched a little. But look who introduced him to it:
