.380 with 6 rounds is more than enough. I keep a full mag for my Sig and two spares but at the end of the day if you ever find yourself having to reload after even 6 shots then you're in way over your head because you're not John Wick.Hell I have a little .380 for self defense in urbanly diverse areas and that's all I really need sure it only holds six rounds in the magazine but it's not like I'm taking on an army. The good part is it only cost me $120 and it's not a piece of shit high point.
I hope.
Most important thing is practise.
Don't train on static targets, I think 3 Gun training is great for real situations because the targets are more like the cops and Feds use, they're more randomized in position and distance and the higher level ones pop up and disapper in limited time, that helps with target aquisition under stress, better than just plinking at paper targets or cans.
And train with your CCW with a beeper from the draw, speed is the most important thing after situational awareness to not get in trouble in the first place.
Get your times down.
Speed wins.
Speed and shoot placement.
If you can get off a triple tap from the draw in a couple seconds or less you're better than 90% of people out there that just shoot at static targets at fixed ranges.
