Not to derail the thread, but it seems all of the media on Unit 731 is fucking awful.
A few years back I made the mistake of watching "Men Behind The Sun" as it's supposed to be somewhat better than Philosophy Of A Knife.
Turns out it is just loosely strung together reenactments of the horrible shit that happened to real people with wacky over the top 80s Japanese acting.
Probably still better than watching a 4 hour slogfest however.
